Last chapter and epilogue of the last volume for the amazing huh he suddenly realizes he's in love with Sora therefore a Sora ending. Was a huge asspull WTF was that ending.

 

His other Mayoi Neko Overrun also had a shit ending so I guess it's a pattern for the author.

Ah I can't read as fast as you, unfortunately. I don't mind the ending, whatever it is (in any series), as long as the author led to it properly. And based on what you've said, the author basically "jumped to the end". Sucks indeed. It's all about the journey, not the destination.

I was just guessing, if somehow I got something right in that comment it was just pure luck (helped by how predictable some novels end being). I guess that I should follow your advice, thanks.

If I am not mistaken, Sora ends up as the main and they get married.  Sucks, Raika was far and away better and she was essentially beaten by generic Japanese plot; Tsundere for the win...

 

Personally, I was hoping the mother and father would reappear stranded on an island or something since I believe their bodies were never found and the whole thing was never fully explained.

 

As for the franchise comment, this is pretty typical: Ramp up comic production for anime and once anime is released and finished, interest declines and so do the comics.  Only really good manga/LN ever make it past the anime and those are few and far between.

Yeah, as far as how the whole franchise of mangas were just promotion it followed a pretty typical pattern, what surprised me was how fast the whole thing ended, the other manga adaptations that I have read and ended as fast as this one were some ones that didn't have anime. Mayoi was from the same author? I had no idea,the manga of those novels was also memorable mostly by how fast it ended. Thanks for your answer.

Yeah I thought Raika did a much better job playing the role of surrogate mother to Yuuta's surrogate father than Sora did but, meh tsunderes what can you do?  

Just noticed it's been exactly 2 years since last update....for the very last chapter.

Yknow, it was an all-around decent ending. Nothing spectacular, nothing awful. It ended just about as it was expected to considering the mood of the series, so I'd say that I'm content with how it wrapped up, no matter how abrupt.
