And by the way, Saitama is the ultimate game ender, that is his premise. Not sure how it could drag more.

mumon rider's ability "justice crash", is like the most powerful attack known to man. it literally paralyzed the sea king from killing blow and ultimately saving Geno's life. Not to mention "justice tackle" is the worlds greatest wrestling move that leaves the opponent confused and their guard down. Thus Mumon Rider is literally the greatest and the most powerful superhero of all time.

It's actually further behind than you think.
The Monster Association arc is really long (around 39 chapters)
For reference, everything up until it (house of evolution, sea king, boros, etc.) only makes up about 40 chapters.

Try looking at the Reddit page for One Punch Man. I f I am not mistaken, the scanlator group had bring down their old chaptes of OPM so the reddit page is the only place to read it first. As for previous chapters, you just have to ind it at other manga aggregator sites.

I would say some of the filler is good, like the whole Metal Bat sequence and the expansion of the Monster Association as I think it gives more depth to some of the characters that we haven't seen that much of in the original webcomic (and explains why Metal Bad was absent in the raid) as well as helping to build up the plot of the Monster Association. On the other hand I have no idea what the point of the tournament is besides giving Saitama something to do while the Monster Association goes nuts.
Because it has almost caught up with the original, they need this filler to buy time.
OPM went from "YEAH" to "yep" to me, its premise became old and the story is blank, blank, blank, not to mention the slow update.

As much as I like Murata's version, I too prefer One's and am going to stop following Murata's one (especially since it's not on here anyway). The anime and One's versions are probably all I really need.
Murata's art though is really good. Maybe one day when they're both completely done I'll buy them as physical copies.
Apparently, Murata has stated on one of his streams that ONE does all the storyboards as well as the editor's work for all of the extra chapters.

Did ONE write the story for these chapters? Or just told him to make filler and Murata wrote the story?

people might stone me but i gotta say it,i am more excited about One version than Murata version.this version caught the same old illness of all other manga..."pointlessly dragging the story".look like Murata tried to make the story his own rather than follow One's story.but i think he turning the manga into a giant mess
