Glad that I've bought the first volume of this series. Another one to my collection, and this one if continues good, may became well classified in my rating system!
Just found out that the illustrator for the light novel version is MiyamaZero-sensei (HS-DxD)... Wish I could read japanese fluently (I can read only a .2% of a novel without help T.T).
And with the author being that Akira I guess it would be pretty good <.<.

What do you mean it happens in the future. That "limbs impaled on a sword" event happened in the past. He dreams of the past. He thought Sakura was DEAD. Do you know something we don't?
I don't get it
Considering that event supposedly happens in the future, and we never see what he does after asking his question, how do you know he won't do just that? Thinking about it, Miyama-Zero never illustrates novels in which the protagonist is that much of a wuss, they may be butt-monkeys but they'll always protect their women.
The basis of this story is pretty messed up, like seriously. It looks like it has trouble taking itself seriously though, which is kinda amusing. I hope our MC doesn't turn out to be a complete wuss. Honestly, if it were me? Shogun or not, if he did that to my girl, I would have used that sword with her limbs stuck on it to kill the bastard. But then again, we wouldn't have a story then, now would we?
