No Guns Life

Actually this story is pretty addictive and I enjoy the main set of characters. Especially the lead, he's got this cool guy, smart aleck, but still a bit awkward charisma that I really enjoy. Not to mention having a gun for head creates an automatic interest point LOL. There's a little bit of him that reminds me of Guin from Guin Saga, or maybe it's just the weird head thing

I just want to say something tho. Isn't that guard a completely robot being? Not even a human? Not even sentient?

I wonder about that, because while he could very well be a robot we have seen full body extends with some rather extreme modifications, our gun-headed protagonist being one of them, making it difficult to judge whether or not someone is human based on their exterior.I personally wouldn't be surprised if the guard was one such example of a full-body extend. We know, based on page 9, ch 17, that the entity can be surprised, and responds in such a case in a rather human manner (specifically "What!?", rather than silence or a more explicitly robotic way). Then, on page 1 chapter 18, the security person says "You dare abandon your job?", which implies both that the entity Tetsurou possess had a job, but also that it was capable of abandoning it (granted you can interpret that piece of dialogue as not being evidence towards the robot being sapient, although I would argue that it is sentient). 
 
For the most part though I do assume that most of the more robotic entities in the manga are full-body extends. I am uncertain if robots possess auxiliary brains as well, but if they don't then that also indicates that the guard was human.
 
If I am allowed to reference other chapters than the newly released one I'd also like to reference a part from ch.2, which is about Tetsurou's powers.

On page 7, chapter 2, which establishes that "Harmonie is a device that can forcefully operate any extend body from a distance.". These bodies can be empty shells, based on the same exchange in the beginning of ch.2, but rely on auxiliary brains, which in turn rely on there being a controlling unit. The question is whether the auxiliary brain requires input from a human, or if you can use a robotic control unit instead. Honestly I would assume the former, but am unsure."

 
One thing I'd like to ask you about is what you thought of ch.4-6.

That arc is the clearest example of Tetsurou using his powers to control someone else, and if I remember correctly he never straight up apologized for his actions, nor seemed to understand the full extent of his actions.

TL;DR: I agree that Tetsurou's use of Harmonie is just as bad as the Big Bad Company, Beruhren. But as a whole it doesn't really contradict with his supposedly naive mental character as of now. He needs to wisen up.

Me disliking Tetsurous is sadly in part irrational, since I for some reason that I have now forgotten had a bad first impression of him, which in turn has coloured my view of him.

I'll concede that Tetsurou taking back the medicine was not immoral, but instead good. Yet I would like to say that, while stopping Colte from killing people is a good thing, possessing and using the body of a guard to achieve those goals is to me reprehensible. The company and the purist group are both using humans as a means to an end, something we saw in this chapter, yet using the guard to stop them, something Tetsurou did, is a similar act since the guard is here a mere tool, and while on a smaller scale I still view it as an immoral act. The question is then if the means justify the ends, something Tetsurou seemingly believes. Considering that I guess my dislike is mainly due to how similar this whole thing in nature was to the company he is trying to escape, since they and Tetsurou are using people as a tool in order to achieve their goals. This is likely why I think of him as a hypocrite, since in essence his actions are similar to the ones of the people he abhors.

 

I understand if you disagree with this view. Me writing this is more about figuring out why exactly I dislike him, rather than trying to convince anyone.

Tetsurou is naive, as of now. He is just doing what he thinks is morally right.

Colte is stealing those medicine, stealing is morally bad, so Tetsurou tried to stop him.

Colte is trying to kill people, even if it's for greater good, killing is morally bad, so Tetsurou tried to stop him.

 

Simple as that.

True, but he didn't ask for this ability, Hell, he was kidnapped than was turned into an extend by force. plus, he seems to come from a family with little to no morality.

I already like Colte more than Tetsurou, although that doesn't say much.

We even got to see the consequences of Tetsurou recovering the medicine Colte needed, an act that newrly caused the death of the latter. I understand that the author wants to make Tetsurou into the morally good kid of the series, but at times his actions seem rather hypocritical in nature. In summary, I want more Colte.

I was under the impression that the comments section is just no spoilers in general because I go through the comments section before I start a series. The fourms are for discussions.
