I like the premise, but I've seen too many mangas flop on it with overly nonsensical scenarios and blackmailing.
This one was milder and focused more on the interactions - so the pacing is slower but more natural imo.
Also, the girl isn't anything new, but she's not as weepy and useless as other girls, and she made some decent points and remarks regarding him liking 'Rika' only by her appearance with makeup.
Overall, just a nice manga with a cute premise although toward the end it did get more into the 'hero saving the girl everytime' which can get exasperating.
I like the premise, and the mangaka did a decent job.
The oneshot at the end is terrible though.
The extra story in chapter 6 is a total mess, though. While the main story is a common scenario done well, this takes another common scenario and completely flubs it. Like, if it had a few chapters to read itself out, then it might've been a bit bland and unconvincing, but compressed into 30 pages or so, it ends up just being really ugly. The girl doesn't seem to have had an actual conversation with the teacher before this point, but this adult man was so into her he deliberately used his family connections to push her into an arranged marriage with him? Her consistent feelings of disgust and frustration at his wildly inappropriate (and borderline illegal) behaviour turn into True Love 5Ever in a single frame for literally no reason? What are you even talking about? Just trash. Such a startling drop in quality from the rest of the book.
I also checked the Chibi manga page, and it looks like they are working on it and are on the editing stage. I imagine we'll see English translations up soon enough (hopefully). It does look like they need editors (aka cleaners). I'm not sure if it's for other manga, though. If you have the time and talent, consider applying to help them anyways.
I am enjoying this manga, and I look forward to seeing where it goes. I'd really like reading it in English.
Seems nice so far.
I don't feel anything special coming out of this one so I don't know if I should recommend it or not.
