Mahjong of the North Star

thanks for continuing this project, Denji, despite my initial disappointment, this is turning into a decent mahjong manga!

"Decent" is perhaps the highest praise this manga will ever get, so I appreciate that. If you haven't read it yet, I would highly recommend Tokyo Game, which I'm also translating. It's basically what Mahjong of the North Star should actually be.

I came here expecting him to throw mahjong pieces like WHA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA but looks like he is just a very lucky bastard.

I was actually hoping the opposite, that it would be a parody of Hokuto no Ken.

 

Instead, it really is unrelated (and therefore the title is mistranslated).

It sorta is but judging it based on the similarity of the content is presumptuous. Throwing in a "therefore" with no particular foundation doesn't help, either.
