I'm kinda enjoying how the harem is working here.

Its like there's a main plot line and then the author is going 'oh also he has a harem' like its an afterthought. I hope the skeleton girl gets added but stays a skeleton while she does all the same boob-hug maneuvers.

skelly boobs. that's technically just ribs. that's also literally taking "ribbed for your pleasure" to a whole new level of being literal

i think we've played ourselves here. congratulations.

interesting story, but i think it's a bit confusing at the beginning? like, dont get the logic of just picking a random guy as a lord mmkay

I just started the series and got to the most recent chapter. They believed that the spirit curse aims for those in the highest status aka the lord. So, if there was no lord, then it would be that bald guy. He also chose Hiroto because he didn't like him and viewed him to be an obstacle

Curious. Vampire[loli] produces child-friendly violence, while elves make blood splatter everywhere.

Several things bother me: it's not a bright idea for person without combat affinity to tackle armed mercenary.

Honestly, he didn't do enough. He just kinda lunged at him for the one tackle then stopped doing anything. If I were the two of them I woulda kicked him in the face while he was surprised. He never considered they would try doing anything, but they let him recover after the tackle.

Still, every point I made was made regardless of the help of extraordinary people.

Yet why would they expect the elven children hostages incident will attract attention only of incompetent opponents? What next, barge into royal palace hoping every guard would be lazy drunk and will probably sleep on duty?

Spoiler

Ok, what was their plan to begin with? They barged into school and took elves hostage so that elves won't interfere. Guess what: elves won't give a crap if you won't take their children hostage. Next. Granted vampires conspiring with humans is unthinkable in normal circumstances. But that's not an excuse to not keep any watch to hostages! How do you imagine it: "You can do whatever you want, but you are my hostages". Brilliant. Next. Why do they act like terorrists? They needed ransom for some nobles. Just take nobles in some secluded location and exchange them for ransom. Here. Done. What's the point of barging into school in the middle of the city and raising as much noise as possible? Do they have death wish? I mean, ok, they can strip their bandages after they got their gold and disappear in the streets, but why poking wasp nest with the stick? Dumbasses.

Well, I guess mybe there was some wicked mastermind that wanted to raise interspecies hostility, but merks themselfs are a bit on a suicidal side.

Ta be fair, they were probably sold on the job as something a lot simpler.

'Oh, yeah, no problem, just take the elf kids hostage so they don't decide to Elfbow Six you, kill a lord or two to show you mean business, and the mummies will get the blame when you're done.'

'I dunno, things could go wrong...'

'Pffft, like a famous heroic skeleton showing up at the exact wrong moment, vampires helping hostages escape from the tower you're holding them in via using a mummy's unbreakable wraps as rope, or another vampire punching out the patrol keeping an eye on the bombs?'

'Hahha yeah, you're right, that seems really unlikely.'

<Protagonist> Boy I sure love monster girls! I should make friends with them! <3

I think the bombs part was showing these guys were more brawn than brains.  They never considered an alliance between humans and vampires.  They also don't seem like fanatics but bastards getting a paycheck.  Suicide missions were more than the job's worth.

Officer: sorry, mate. during medieval age, girls as young as 12 can already be married.
Unfortunately, these guys in modern age will need to come along.

Several things bother me: it's not a bright idea for person without combat affinity to tackle armed mercenary.

Of course I don't want to make it realistic[nasty], but what was the point of brigants having bombs again? It played no role in manga narrative. Bombs are usually planted around hostages (by the way, hostages are always under survelience) and around possible siege routes. And escape routes in case of everything backfiring and clearing the pass.

Standard charge tactics would have been something they could understand.  This plan first to remove the children and then to use vampires as the first wave overwhelmed them and they couldn't regroup in time.  A type of Blitzkrieg really.

I don't see the hate over this. Sure, there's the cliche girls falling in love way too fast, but then again this MC is clearly a charismatic young man with a decent intelligence. The antagonists aren't stupid, but they are blinded by their own greed and pre-conceived notions about others to the point that they don't realize that what they are planning is more likely to backfire and cause the downfall of their respective territories, rather than following the sensible and non-discriminatory example that Hiroto is setting. I'm rather enjoying the story, since I feel like it's handling itself rather well.

I concur. I also like the fact that the best friend is not the either "friend turned enemy" or the "second stringer back up" and is actually a good support in his own right. ...plus him getting a loli vampire is a bonus? XD

Of course she is the strongest: she is loli after all.

...
Sidekick-kun train of thoughts: "Poor guy will have to stay in this awful place for ten years. He won't be able to lead an average life of slightly above average income for twelve hours work day and instead will be forsed to live as privileged class with several pairs of boobs surrouning him. I rather read picture books to a little girl for five more years then let him suffer a minute more of this boob hell!"

Oh please, let the loli have a hot adult form when she uses her vampire magic, please.

IIRC, it's the Light Novel. It gets more ridiculous in the future.

Could you elaborate? If it's a dumpster fire, I'll avoid it. If it's a train-wreck, I have a compulsion to look.

Oh please, let the loli have a hot adult form when she uses her vampire magic, please.
