Didn't there use to be a chapter wherein we see Nagi from the perspective of his classmates, and he looked like a total delinquent?

You could say that about any age of teenager. I always find it funny when drama happens and you have those people say "They could have just talked". Well, no. They are teenagers and they are stupid.

None of 'em. That's what makes this manga so enjoyable. The mangaka understands their age group and doesn't make any of them pre-pubescent geniuses (is there any such thing?), and they misunderstand the others all the time. It makes sense, it's cute, and it moves the plot along. I love this manga, and hope that it goes on for a good long time. I rate this with Fujiyama-San wa Shishunki for young love. The writers know what they're writing about.
Just to play devil's advocate... what 8th grader (14 year old) _is_ good at communicating? (Especially Ayame-chan, though!)
Man I've just gotten through the first few chapters and boy is the MC blind to the fact that his girlfriend is just bad at communicating? She's much kinder than people realize.
One of the reasons why these sort of 4koma are rubbish to binge on, is because there's almost 0% character development.
After a few chapters, I already felt like the MC has no reason to constantly cry and squirm every time one of the females hold him up, or talk to him. There's a limit as to how many times he can go "oh they're actually innocent girls" and then just completely forget about it.
Just a random rant. carry on.
