3rd year middle school would be 14/15 years old. According to The Article 4 of The Japanese Civil Code (民法): "The age of majority is reached when a person has reached the age of 20", though in most cases considering child laws the term "Child" describes a person under 18 years old.

Legal age of consent for sexual activity is 13 as stated in the Article 176 (Forcible Indecency) of The Japanese Penal Code (刑法).

Also according to the Article 177 of Japanese Penal Code "A person who, through assault or intimidation, forcibly commits sexual intercourse with a female of not less than thirteen years of age commits the crime of rape and shall be punished by imprisonment with work for a definite term of not less than 3 years. The same shall apply to a person who commits sexual intercourse with a female under thirteen years of age."

But now, according to Child Welfare Act:

"No person shall commit an act listed in any of the following items: 

[...] (vi) Cause a child to commit an obscene act; [...]".

 

"Sex with those under 13 years of age is prohibited, but consensual sex with a 13-year-old is not prosecutable under the Criminal Code. According to current laws, in order to prove rape and forcible sexual contact with a minor age 13 or over, the prosecution must prove that the attacker threatened or used violence against the victim. But then there are things like 淫行条例(Fornication statutes), and "Currupting a minor" prefectural laws which can raise the age of consent up to 18 years old (like for example, the Tokyo Metropolitan area age of consent for sexual activity), and those laws are in full motion.

Then there are things like "if the relationship is sincere and romantic" the law can be sorta "bypassed", and the relationship between the two individuals is considered legal, though I'm not sure about the truthfulness of that statement. It's just something I read somewhere.

 

Then the age of consent of marriage. Article 731 of Japanese Penal Code states:

"A man who has attained 18 years of age, and a woman who has attained 16 years of age may enter into marriage."

Article 737 states:

"(1) A minor shall obtain the consent of both parents to marry.

(2) If one parent does not consent, the consent of the other parent is sufficient. This shall also apply if one parent is unknown, has died, or is unable to indicate his/her intent."

 

And then, there are Okinotori Islands and Marcus Islands, which have their own age of consent that is 13 years old.

Long story short: Japanese Law is confusing as hell, and full of holes

Third year middle school, so, 14-15. The ero-mangaka's age hasn't been stablished, but looks and seems about somewhere in the twenties. Not my game, but not necessarily absolutely immoral.

 

I've not found a bad word about this other than axed/rushed ending. And so far as to what's batoto's regulations, for what's been scanlated so far, I've seen pornier stuff under seinen/mature/smut genres and they've passed all right.

There's literally nothing wrong with an author writing about what they want to happen. That's not a reason to dislike something. What you don't like is the overindulgence or the subject matter, which considering who it is, is actually pretty funny to me.
