Ah, I see. Thanks for the heads up. Definitely will read, just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to break my heart or anything.
Like any shounen manga, the ending isn't the end of the world. In a sense, you could say . . . nothing's decided. That said, the last two volumes were a huge build-up for what was by comparison a fizzle.
Thank you so much for completing this. But, I have a question.
I haven't read this in quite some time, because I was waiting for it to wrap up first. I'm excited to pick it back up and read but....
Is the ending happy or sad? Love or heartbreak?
Thank you.
I have a suspicion that this series developed the same way many appear to develop: Start with an idea and throw it at the readers. If the readers like it, then develop a backstory and an eventual destination for the story, with possible story arcs, short and long, sketched out.
Except I think the story rambled on for a while before the mangaka turned his attention to such details. Once in a while you see a series get "rebooted" so the early chapters can be changed slightly to accommodate the decided plans, but this series wasn't important enough for that, and so they didn't.
In other words, I don't believe this story was about "indecision" from the very start, but that the mangaka decided on the theme later.
Wakaba true heroine
confimedtrolled.Maybe I'm forgetting a lot of stuff, I am having trouble remembering specific plot points of this mange, but....
Lets watch this to celebrate
The young maiden in love is a carnivore.
What do you have against dinosaurs? They can be cute and fun but be careful if you try to get cuddly with them.
(mild-but-confusing spoiler for ending + response to Purple Library Guy + lame pun)
I wouldn't call it a common ending at all. Quite strange, really. Truly major spoilers follow:
nice ending although a bit common
rate : 7/10
At least that last 4 koma was funny.
Isn't all this a reference to schrodinger cat? Since he never got to open the box, both the dead and living cat became real?
I kind of felt that way too. And all the weird god magic ended up feeling awfully arbitrary, like we'll do whatever hocus-pocus pushes the emotional buttons we want to push here.
When I think about it, it also vaguely weirds me out that Shinta is now going out with a dead cat.
But I won't say I'm totally unsatisfied. They seem happy, so, OK. Still, I kind of feel like going back and reading some early, upbeat chapters just to leave myself with a simpler "Having fun dating a cat girl" feeling.
I honestly think this ending could have used 1 more chapter to not make the developments seem so rushed, but it was nice.
And since I didn't throw my hat in the ring, I'd probably pick the other Nao. Dem tights.
I'm faded.
Where are you now?
I'm starting feel like I wasted 5 years of my life following this story. In the end it turned into a typical no resolution Japanese manga. I would still like to thank the scanalators that worked on this project. It was interesting almost to the ending.
That ending was very forced. We have next to no interaction with the other Nao, so having her be shoehorned in as a 'winner' is weird and out of place.
But did you love?![:P](https://vatoto.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.png)
I laughed, I cried, I was annoyed, and I was entertained. This is worth a read.
*heavy breathing*
What can I say but Thank You for picking this series.
Vive le neko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And there you have it. Series complete. Story over (unfortunately), though the mangaka put it well: Just how do you finish a story that in the end was about indecision?
P.S. Too bad Taruby never came back to life.
