Two years with absolutely no word that it's gonna continue isn't exactly encouraging tho
We're not entirely sure it has been cancelled, to be honest. The author never came back. I mean, if it had been cancelled, one would expect he would be working on something else after recovering. But it's been two years. In the Japanese Wikipedia, the status of the series is hiatus.
WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT KIDNEY STONES???IM CONFUSED
Those poor, innocent whores
Reminds me of the story of a doujinka and his kidney stones experience. But yeah, that shouldn't take that long.
i had a tiny, tiny, like 2mm kidney stone a few weeks back, and even that tiny thing was one of the worst pains i've ever felt in my life. the actual passing of it was fine, but when it was coming out of my kidney i had to go check myself into the hospital because it hurt so bad (it wasnt quite as bad as the first batch of cluster headaches i got when i first started getting them, but it was worse than anything else i've ever felt). i cant even imagine what larger stones would feel like, and if they're recurring then yeah, you're not gonna be doing much until you get that taken care of somehow. stones are no joke.
Actually, it's stones in the gall duct, but yeah, it's very painful.
The strange thing is that that is from two years ago. His bio-sketch in Wikipedia doesn't say he died or anything, but it's strange that he's been away for so long because of gall stones.
From the google translate it says that they have gallbladder stones.
Those are kinda considered worse pain than being in labour, and a lot of women would rather give birth than deal with gallbladder/kidney stones again... so good luck artist, I hope you get better
ah didn't know it was hiatus so long because the author was hospitalized https://twitter.com/inuinusuke/status/647981961709924352
Two more chapters until the end of volume four. Six more chapters until...a cliffhanger. Followed by a hiatus that is still ongoing after two years.
Fun while it lasted.
Akumetsu is almost entirely dark comedy. However, rather than being personal revenge, it's more directly about corruption in Japanese politics (there's an entire arc about a guy getting rich off of approving new highways).
Corruption: the manga.
Whoever this author is, I'm now convinced he has sure been directly exposed to it. The whole criminal system works for the old man and is obviously rotten to the core, not very far from reality.
Okay, I feel like it needs to be discussed just how worthless the police are:
I haven't read it, but I am told Akumetsu is vaguely similar, revenge-driven carnage against the powerful, though it seems to lack the dark comedy tone.
This is fantastic!
What the hell, why in the world would I unfollow this?!
If anyone knows anything similar, please either send me a message or just quote a reply to this. please
Killing the target in public place, inside a heckin courtroom for that matter, is way outside the character of our anti-hero. I don't think he will pull this off as straight-forward as that, will probably have to do a mystery kill or some conan-style hit.
Deus ex machina/Mary Sue geniuses are annoying as hell, my only consolation is knowing he's going to die. Hopefully painfully.
Yes, yes, it was. (referring to ch.17 and the magic camera)
lol nope, fucking dropped. That was dumb and bad.
Kind of but not quite. There is a killer instinct inside her too as she's already proven by casually watching him execute the guilty. She watches those who tormented her die with a bit of pleasure and solace in it. Mako and Chiho are similar in that regards. It's just in Mako's case death itself is the reward. For Chiho vengeance gives her pleasure.
Exactly like you said. The detective looks to be someone with OCD so he most likely gets "tunnel vision" when he's focusing on something. Thus missing the fact that Mako is there. He's too busy trying to get Chiho to lead him to Mako to realize Mako's behind him. Like the saying goes "the mantis stalks the cicada unaware of the oriole behind".
