That's how buisness works.
For my plot needs i read fantasy books ^^. I don't expect this to have any plot except "thats how i never got laid, cause that would kill the wifus of these money givers".
They aren't as rare as people think. They just don't survive. Like with good manga. What people want and what people say they want seem to be different things.
Take a hypothetical - You make up a good isekai manga. Give it a good background, detailed characters, strong story. Give it average art and make it almost all male with zero fanservice. After getting rejected for the 100th time, you decide to screw your principles and add lots of pointless fanservice. You get serialised. You make money...
While this is pure speculation on my part, I cant help but point out - Any of Micheal Bay's Transformers movies - as proof of style over substance.
I am a simple man.
I see cute catgirls and lots of fluff.

But yeah. Good isekai are rare.
But why? Cause these isekai dont sell as much as this.

Goblin Slayer is doing both differtent (fanservice and opness).
And there's a few other good ones that sell well. But it's like WoW ... the wow devs cloned they're game from the good parts of all the other mmorpgs out there. Then made it easyer to play ... then got sucessfull. And allllll the publishers sprung onto it, churning out WoW cloen after WoW clone.
There's still good mmorpgs made .... but they're rare.
It's the same here.

well the key target is Japanese, the author is Japanese, the editor is Japanese, the company is Japanese, even the ideal is Japanese.
It might seem bad to us but it could be much common for them.
The flow of the story feels kinda off... Well, as long as I am entertained... :-/

This is just going wrong, all kind of wrong. Japanese really love making stories where some people go on forcing their ideals and problems and needs on others, and those being forced just accept it.

Except, given what type of world that is. Taking her up on that offer, would likely lead to something more serious and certain expectations on her part to commit. Also, she is 15/16. Which is basically just the cusp of adulthood, which is his main problem with all of this.

Give him some slack too. He had to put bottoms up for couple minibars worth of alcohol. In the middle of night with ignitable breath anyone would lose some finesse.
and wasnt the proganonist married and had a family or something? What the hell is with people going on with that "spineless" shit? this is 15 years old teenager trying to swim into married adults pants... if he fell to this one he would be void of morals. From his perspective she would definitely look precocious.
As a 25+ y person with responsibilities and shit, I get why he threw her out. I'd be freaked out if this girl I barely know suddenly and openly wanted to bang me. I'd think of lots of reasons for her to do so.
That said he was too insensitive. He could sat her down and said something like "I appreciate this but not now" or something. Throwing her out like a dog wasn't cool
I just feel sorry for the girl to be thrown out in such a crude way.
