Description: Reincarnated to a werewolf magician, the Protagonist Vyett was instated as the vice head of the Demon Lord’s third brigade force.

Occupying a remote market town, he was entrusted to management and defense.

As a former human, born a monster, I can understand the sentiments of both sides well enough. Because of that, those around seem to think I’m a man of wisdom, or something of the like, but it’s really just one trouble after the next.

I have to follow those monsters that are overly quick to resort to violence, and do something about the humans, who start to complain immediately. So today as well, I’ll do my best at managing the Demon Lord’s main force.

Isekai are generally shit.  With the hundreds of isekais flooding the market, is there a single one that rates as a good story, one that you cannot wait until the next chapter?  Not really.  Instead, readers just jump from isekai to isekai because they're a dime a dozen.

so are stuff like pizza, burgers, and such. lots of ppl make em, but they each got their own flavor. if it's the trend let it be. the good series will progress, the bad ones axed. the fact that it's printed and scanlated means that somewhere out there, there are ppl who agree with me in thinking "hey this isn't so bad, and totally worth my time reading". i don't think it's that easy to get a manga/LN published physically. (web releases are a diffrent question since it has lower risks)

Did this get a reboot?  A see another story with same premise, different artist and slightly different telling.

It did get a reboot i believe. http://comic-earthstar.jp/detail/beowulf2/although no scanlations yet I think

In defence of Isekai stories let me say this:

In fact I love isekai stories if they are build good! It's a cheap tool for writters to introduce their unique fantasy world trough an MC who comes from a place familiar to us. This way the reader can learn all the new stuff step by step along with the MC. If done right, it might lead to a good story. Think about it, isn't Harry Potter an isekai story as well? [Regular boy gets to go to a wizzarding school, that is a completly different world than ours] Also if the MC is form a different world it is more easy to explain why is he diffeent from other ppl [thus interesting to the reader] and it is fun to see cultures [fantasy vs real life] mingle and bring change. As I said, it is a cheap tool to do this.

But an isekai fails to deliver this ''discover new stuff trough the stuff you know'' then there is really little point for Truck-kun to do his deed. Like in this case, I see no difference if the MC had been born on Earth before or not. He could had just been a monster who was [IDK] grown up with humans, or just curious about them - that would had invited more inner conflict or depth... This is just too rushed and hard to understand. There is no point in isekaisetting if it doesn't help explain the plot.

Isekais are all kinds of popular right now so there are a bunch of people trying to write them and failing. If you're old enough you may remember a similar phenomenon around the time Naruto started getting big.

As for actually good Isekais, try The Wandering Inn, a webnovel that is a little more true to how I think Isekais should work, where the world has a plot line running that gets warped by the transferred people, not one that hinges on them.

Did this get a reboot?  A see another story with same premise, different artist and slightly different telling.

i mean there are also people who overanalyse isekai/tensei mangas and those who hate isekai for absolutely no reason other than "it's isekai" so....

man, really surprised people can't follow this story, seems so simple, maybe you guys are overthinking and confusing yourselves?

This is so good! But I need MOAR!!

well he bought some sulfur and charcoal (??)

thanks, it looked interesting but it has a looooooooot, a lot of gaps ... so, where can I find the novel xD??

novelupdates is basically a huge light novel translation library; that's where I read this one.

It's amazing how much time you can waste on there just following the recommendations to other light novels; I am currently reading around 180 and have completed around 30.

A lot of the ones I read are isekai and quite a few are linked via the recommendations.

(If you enjoy sarcastic humour, I recommend Legend of the Sun Knight, which is fully translated.  I also recommend not reading it in public or late at night when falling about laughing may disturb other people or make you seem extremely strange.)

Huh, the pacing is a bit off but I never felt like anything lacked proper context.

Actually the pacing is fine, but it's the order of introducing new scenes that's off.

This thing is just a bunch of random scenes put together without any context. Who are these people, what are they doing and most importantly, why should we care?

first chapter that made some sense ..... the previous chapters dialogue.. where all over the place ..and some how not connected ..... it feels like it was badly translated .... i read few chapter of the novel and it seems quite  good honestly ... too bad ... it would have been much better if the art was much better .. and if the manga didn't cute to much of the importing dialogue... any way its just me ....the feels this way i guess

Is this confusing and paced weird or am I illiterate?

Don't worry. Worst case, it just means that we're all illiterate.

The main problem is that the story jump from shit to shit without transition to explain or understand a single shit first! Otherwise it'd probably be good, the setting is interesting.

that's it... i'm done... its fking hard to understand this story... i tried till chap5 but i can't..

I'm able to follow the manga just fine though. But maybe that's because I've read more Isekai than I'd like and all the skipped redundant explanations that's practically a copy paste from other isekai is not being missed.

Like this page. No explanation, but it's pretty obvious what the isekai MC is trying to make here.

The story is actually good, but if the manga cuts out more than half of it then it's rather hard to understand. You basically have to fill in the gaps yourself.

The story is honestly better read from the novel than the manga so far for people needing to know what is going on. I believe the author has been either rushed on this or has just sloppily mashed these chapters together and thus the transitions from scenes and conversations seem out of place or odd. If I hadn't read the novel, this would give me the feeling as if they were talking about fruits in one moment and then the next moment out of nowhere the conversation is about rocket science.

Exactly, I dont feel the need to know mc cause of death and how he was during his time in our universe. All those flashback on how he grew up in the village and became respectable leader is boring and repetitive.

Thanks for the update!~

was just gonna start reading this one, well ... sometimes is better to drop expectations (it was an isekai so it was already pretty down).

You should probably read the web novel. The manga seems to be rushing the story so much that it becomes impossible to follow.

was about to ask that, this isn't making any sense at all, specially this last chapter. Inconsistent as it can.

I read chapter 5 twice.... Are there some pages missing? Is it not in order? Are we now only showing scenes after events, and not the events themselves? Why does the author like to always leave half the things unexplained?

Also, to the scanlator's note: yes people read this, so please don't stop :) ...... but if it keeps being confusing, I think I might just move on >.>
