Omakes. The concept started because when manga were printed into books, there are always spare empty pages. So, the author would draw something lighthearted or a mini side story to fill up the page quota.
The .1,.2,.3 are placed to indicate that they're just side stories between the chapters.
What is up with the last 3 chapters? or part chapters (41.1, 41.2, 41.3)
Actually i'm quite hostile towards fatso in earlier chapter, Maybe because he is haughty or probably a foe. But i'm seeing a new light for him.
.
Your Personal Item is : Loli (This MC quite Cultural)
God bless fatbro
Yeah and it is a good chapter too, i can see they pulled the chapter down, so i think they are reuploading it.
Thank you for the heads up. I was really disappointed after only seeing those 6 pages, most of which were flashback.
After going to Hatigarm's site I was able to read the chapter in it's entirety.
Is it just me or is the chapter 37 of 6 pages not a bit small? Seems more like a .5 recap than an actual chapter
Edit: Checked Hatigarm Scans' website, there the full 24 pages of the chapter is uploaded and a bug/error has happened during the bato.to upload
I have yet to encounter wuxia having the Phoenix go all "the fuck man? you dare kill in MY territory?!"
What I meant is the problem is not the story in itself, but the adaptation. For example, there is a lack of explanation of how the world works. Even the introduction to the different nations at the beginning is badly explained. Another example,I don't remember them saying that the hero is an otherworlder but the fact that he knows of Olympiad means he is. I have a constant feeling that I am missing one scene or another. The chinese quotes are in contrast better explained and more fun to read. It's a problem that I reguraly find in chinese novel adaptation, if you don't read the novel, you are missing scenes to understand what's happening, and explanations on the "laws" of the world are often packed in one case.
I have to say, that cows question sounds really easy XD
That's not fair to the other person. The problem is real, and it's a pacing problem, not an inexperienced reader problem. The story isn't hard to grasp -- but it skips around improperly, not implementing necessary development scenes, and doesn't quite "flow" as it should. Things go from A to B somewhat more roughly than one would expect, characters don't always get a smooth introduction, etc. Rather, I'd say you just filled in the blanks yourself because you are so familiar with the xia genres.
I'm not saying it's an art problem because the manwha adaptation's author is quite skilled in other ways. I have no problems with character designs, action scenes, perspectives, paneling, etc. But the overarching storyboarding needs to be better.
I notice this in a great number of mainland Chinese manwha and webnovels translated and shared on this site. Some are much worse than others (this is one of the better ones, frankly; some are really bad). Authors and artists in the more mature comic publishing markets of Japan, Taiwan, and Korea, don't have this problem nearly as much, presumably because of the experience available in their editorial departments (though you may notice something similar if you read, say, a shaky first work from a newbie Japanese author).
Err, thats generally the case with people who arent experienced with the kinds of stories the source material is similar to, doubly so as this work's original author is known for slow and descriptive writing that requires you to think about it a bit. Its basically as if you're trying to read through a long list of obscure chinese quotes and trying to understand them. If that doesn't float your boat(sure as hell floats mine) idk how to help other than telling you to read (good) chinese webnovels.
I have cdn uk
Chapter 31 seems broken? Ive tried all the image servers, just see CDN NYC, even tried in a different browser with cleared cache
I like the graphics but the story is badly explained. You understand the big line but it's all. It feels like reading an annex to the novel (I don't read the novel btw), not an adaptation. It's hard to understand.
Thanks, now I don't need to read this. . .
(Not a fan of lolis for love interest)
This may be the single most powerful skill anyone can bring to another world.
comment about chapter 20 (spoiler)
Did we mess up the chapter numbers cuz in the scanlations by demonic scans they have a ch 21 as well so are the chapters here 1 off
Demonic scans didn't put there updates on bato.to, and there is no download so I can't upload the chapters
I'm happy there's an update... but why is it 7 chapters after the most recent one?
Oh yeah...
so the MC is a reincarnated soul?
HUGE SPOILER:
Oh no! It?! ... Could it be... Giant Nerf-blasters?!
