Why would he need to know such things? In his world Magic and Science has nothing to do with each other. Scientists would kill themselves before they ever accepted the magical phenomenom that Magicians can bring about.
For those of you in the know, this LN uses the "Magic is Different" concept, mages don't need to know science because they have knowledge that conflicts with science directly.
Later on you'll see that MC's knowledge of Biology is quite twisted, and that he is effective even using that wierd Biology, that's because, "Magic is Different".
Also, psychology is an extra, the only few kinds of mages who would actually care about learning this, would be the ones who use their magic to interfere with minds(Enchanters, Abjurers, Illusionists), also you don't need to know psychology to deal with people, merchants have done that for quite a while even before, when school were only for nobles. Although yeah, Psychology is one kind of science that is useful for everyone.

To be fair, I think it wasn't that bad of a choice. The "main party" has received relatively little development and I think this chapter was used to reiterate Suimei's resolve to send his friends back home. Not to mention Felmenia was getting pretty annoying so it was nice to not see her for once.

...No appearance of Fall-Many-a? I guess she either had something to do or she couldn't trust her jaws to remain shut around Reiji. That, or the author wanted to stop distracting people with her 'magic reserves.' We know Reiji sure gets distracted by them.
I thought that girl was all over the Riaj- er, I mean Reiji. She practically hangs off Reiji while friendzoning the MC hard. They gave off a more big brother/little sister feel than anything else. Then again, Reiji also treats her like a little sister in spite of the girl having some attraction to him... (he's either not interested in pettanko or he's stupid, maybe both)
As for height, there is always an obligatory loli or two, though they tend to fill the 'daughter' role of late, and it is pretty rare for taller girl/shorter guy in Isekai stories. They tend to do that when the MC is a useless scrub who would die without his battle harem.
This biggest source of bewilderment is how such a tiny crown can stay perched on her noggin.

Nice to see monarchy in one of these Isekai manga who isn't stuck up or secretly evil. Then again, they are sending people out to do their dirty work while they sit on their cushy thrones and hope this hero makes it. (unlike the last few)
More like he's gotten her dere route unlocked... To be fair, her tsun was weak. We need a real twin tailed tsundere here, probably a warrior or knight, the white flame tsun was barely cool and she melted faster than that chick from Infinite Stratos.
And she can't be his new waifu, she's only his first.
Since when have any mages in any games been worldly? I mean, his friend focused on Fall-Many-a's 'magic tanks' in a split second, but the MC barely recognizes her as a female and he's had those 'reserves' tightly pressed up against his chest. His comment on her being cute felt kind of flat to me, almost like a way to get her off his case. This guy wouldn't know a flag if he was smothered with one.
I highly doubt miss white flame/fall on her face would resort to potions or magic. She doesn't strike me as having much of a backbone.

Well considering that the "mysteries" he is researching have to do with the Arcane and not the Mundane.... I'm 100 percent sure that scientific pursuits aren't exactly involved in his course curriculum when he studies. In fact i'm pretty sure he's already stated that "scientific pursuit" tends to dull the senses towards magic itself (because you end up relying too much on the science and not believing what's in front of you)
Dude.. every fiber in his being should be shouting the alarm bells at this point.. omnipotent magic user yes... but, this isn't a flag.. this is a banner that is covering half of the horizon. He really should be careful about any meals he takes in her presence cause I have this eerie feeling she wouldn't be above making him "take a nap" for a while so she can "attend" to things XD
