The problem is that we know that he's gonna be fine, that he can take the punch head on, there no point in a cliffhanger ending

I just looked at the raws they are at chapter 10 and for what i see it is gonna be as cliché as it can get and it is for what i saw just going from villian to villian

look we get it batoto is shutting down but for christ's sake use the spoiler tags

Found the D&D player!

Curiously enough I only played as Rogue twice. My most played classes were either monk or sorcerer. Both of which I sometimes lucked out and made the impossible possible, with enemies(even dragons) rolling 1 in the dice(saving throws) and falling prone(with monk I used stuning blow and I knocked a flying dragon down with a knee strike to the head, and with the sorcerer I used the magic grease, also on a dragon. Both dragons failed with a flat and excruciatingly painful 1).

Got the nickname "slippery sorcerer" due to that.

Anyways, I think the Mc will just tank his way out of this one. Them reinforcement magic is op.

The worst part of it is that this manga takes itself seriously. Which just leads to boredom and cliched tropes leading to cliched situations leading to cliched conclusions. At least with some other isekai manga they find a way to differentiate themselves. Be it by reincarnating as a slime, being what is effectively a gag manga, or being honestly well written. Mediocrity is such a slog to read through...

Is the Kidnapper an idiot? With a bodyguard that strong and tall, MC just have to use the dust of the moron's attack(and his large body) to sneak behind the creep and save the girl

Is looking Dorward like looking towards a door? :P

If you don't like Isekai why do you search for them and read them? It's right in the title. Is this the new "I hate ecchi it's disgusting but I read all of them"

I'd imaging that he/she dislikes the shitty ones that authors pump out so frequently rather than the genre itself

>author openly admits in the first few pages that this is another cheater garbage manga

>art is simplistic with little effort put in

>character designs are very generic

You know what we need? A manga where an isekai author gets isekaied, except that he finds out that a god is pissed off by all the shitty isekai series and he has been pulling isekai authors into a different world where the natives are all cheaters compared to the regular isekai authors.

I don't care they're op af, neither do I care how they magically found the right people to train them. Sometimes I just like a manga with no frustrating evil plot that only the mc don't see coming 'cause he's so dumb and naive that it's surprising he survived so long. Long story short great manga to waste time and thx to the team for their work on translating.

Them: "You two are the most powerful spellcasters in the world."
Him: "Don't worry, girl. I'll protect you."
Her: "Oh, guy, you're so chivalrous~"

Honestly, I think they should be placed in a game of Frogger filled with truck-kuns.

Welp, those 3 chaps were nice, but that's pretty much where the story dies. It will most likely plunge head-deep into boring political squabbles and frustrating fights that mostly prioritize strategy and logistics, over any form of intrigue or creativity on part of the characters, seeing as the story wasted every little bit of intrigue these MCs even had.

They were magically trained just by the right people, became stupid OP with pretty much no more room to grow, and were released out into the world without any assurance that they are not going to misuse their powers. Quite a lot of fuck ups, just to "conveniently start the plot" and rail it down the most cliche way possible.
Anyway, nice 3 chaps. But I reckon the story's pretty much over at this point.

Idk, it feels more like a combination of Gun Otaku Isekai Manga and 7 People All with different talents (with 1 guy as an excellent diplomat) isekai manga.

Isn't that just Re:Monster, kind of?

So which of the single four elements, or possibly 3 of them if there is another person like the teacher, does space-time magic fall under?

Pokemon magic, no doubt. Invented by Team Galactic.

The beginning of Grimgar murdered the series for me. But Konosuba is indeed one of the best, although I think that the MC deserves the vast majority of bad things that happen to him.

I wonder when will the authors make a series with a character that starts strong(not because of cheats but because the guy is a proper martial artist) but he is still  not op and win his first fights with ease only because the oponents underestimate him(because he either fights with only his fists or use simpler wepons) or because they don't recognize the MC's fighting style. I mean there are one or two series that have a secondary character like that, that is almost forgotten by the author. But never an MC. THey need to stop looking for relatability, relatability kills the story

The start of Grimgar is really draggy for sure. Even the anime fast forwarded the start of the light novel, despite dragging the rest of it out. Watch the anime and then skip to the second volume. The anime covers the second volume too but it cut some stuff.

For all the "bad things that happen" Kazuma's life in Konosuba is pretty awesome. He has admittedly earned it though.

There are plenty of stories where the MC isn't that strong but wins because he has a weird fighting style. Like Samurai Champloo. Though it's not an isekai obviously.

You say that it "kills the story" but relatability is probably one of the things that makes isekai so popular. Or rather, an isekai without of relatable (to Japanese) viewers doesn't really make sense, isn't it just a normal fantasy story then?

I've seen worse but I get what you mean, it feels largely like a self-insert wish fulfilment fantasy

I don't mind it as a sort of casual fun read but generally I find the ones where the protag has nothing but his wits to be more interesting (Konosuba and Grimgar are the ones at the top of my Isekai list)

oh hey new chapter. so they ARE working on this

I'm all for OP isekai characters but my god, this is one of the worst I've read.
