Already bookmarked you as soon as I found out, friend.

Bato was taken by the Lunarians. Say goodbye, people! Our beautiful gems are going to be ground to dust.

everyone tryna theorycraft with the Lunarian tech capabilities or if they'll betray them or muh translations based in Buddhist anecdotes and references, but it's quite clear to me that the answer to all our problems has been in every page of the moon stuff -- the snails.

just get the snails to eat up all the gemdust and harvest it from their shells. yes, it won't be exact like it was when Phos got eaten since it's all mixed and scattered, but it makes it a hell of an easier process to actually have it as a solid rather than dust, even if it's all mismatched.

This has been mentioned before, just got buried in between the drama and shit.

Welp, with the Lunarian's tech, there is some hope for the Gems, but I am *very* concerned about the endgame. I feel bad that the Gems are caught in between Adamant and the Soul folk. Unanswered questions concerning the snail-peeps and why the Lunarians haven't tried negotiating with Gems through to Admanat are there as well. Also, this manga needs a psychological tag.

Kindle only has up to v4, where can I get v5? or rather, does v5 have a digital format? will v6?

Volume 4 was released about a week ago. Volume 5 should be released in March. All volumes will presumably have digital versions.

Partly, since we purchase the tankobon for HQ raws, and redoing from 43 would require us to buy v6 to scan as well, but partly not because of the official translation. The official v6 is set to be released in July, so, if we did redo it, it would become obsolete in a short time. We hope not redoing those previous chapters will also encourage people to buy the official volumes.

I see, thanks for your reply! Out of curiosity, why 46 onwards, and not 43? Is it due to lack of raws?

We plan on re-translating from chapter 46 onward. We have already redone 47.

What is the majority bet here?
The story will have 108 chapters or the story will end in the span 108 years?

You know, 108 prayers and blah blah of Buddhism.
There's a lot of references of the religion here, it became "obvious" at this point that Phos is turning into a mix of the "Seven Treasures".
40+ chapters to read would be a joy, but not if Haruko have to drag and prolong the story, so I'm satisfied with less than 40+ chapters. By my counts, 104 years already passed inside the story, and this would be more relevant int his story for Phos, representing her 108 chances to "transcend".

My honest answer would be that it depends on how well the manga does. If the author wants to continue it I could very well see it going past chapter 108, while if they want to end it they'll use the 108 chapters instead of 108 years as the end. Similarly if the manga somehow gets axed I could see a time skip and rushed ending to make use of the 108 years rule.

So the answer is that it depends on external elements.

As an aside, where did you get the 108 chances from? Using wikipedia, the most reliable of sources(!), The only mention of you having 108 chances I could find is the following.

"In the neo-Gnostic teachings of Samael Aun Weor, an individual has 108 chances (lifetimes) to eliminate his egos and transcend the material world before "devolving" and having the egos forcefully removed in the infradimensions."
Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/108_(number)

Personally I thought you had infinite rebirths, since it is the cycle of rebirth that is the annoying part of existence that you are trying to escape. It could be my bias though playing in, since I have never liked the idea of people being beyond redemption even when faced with eternity. Eternity is a damn long time.

Regarding the wording there, it's possible that he's deliberately skirting around saying something like "the rest of your life" because he considers gems objects and therefore not alive. It would be hard to know without seeing the original Japanese.

The only bad thing is that is 1 chapter x month formula, a very pain to follow a manga in this format once you are in par with the official japanese release.

The one-chapter-a-month format allows Ichikawa to create such beautiful artwork and have the time to develop the story. Without it HNK would be rushed.

"it may refer to kalpa, which is the time spent in a world"

So... "a life time"?

How does the current translation group see translating the previous chapters that were translated by Belkrax? That way we can have more polished translations and everyone can shut up about it instead of having a back-and-forth in the comments section and pissing each other off over it. Sounds more reasonable instead of trying to prove who was in the right on the matter.

Sorry I didn't reply, maybe I should have. But thanks for linking me to the author! Which is exactly what I wanted since I prefer to support authors directly than seeing their content stolen from some random website : )
