so, can any 1 person give a summary on this serie's state of affair? where are the authors? what are they saying? and what's up with the chapters?

Apparently it had 8 volumes finished by 2013, I don't know anything more than that, google it yourself.

Over 4 years later since the series went on hiatus and only one chapter has been released. Lord first I find this series then I make the mistake of joining the berserk bandwagon. Hell, I can't hardly remember what happened. At this point I would take an axe ending over nothing, just tell me if hirono ends up with saya. That's all I care about

If you think this anime is a masterpiece... You have seen little to no anime I'm afraid. The anime is just a tits, blood and censorship festival. Good enough to entertain the masses but that's it. The manga is way better but it needs an ending at least.

don't be so presumptuous as to pass your judgements on others' opinions. some may well consider it to be a masterpiece.

About the anime:

 

Well, simply put, it is a MASTERPIECE (just watched it)

Hell, it is easily among my top 10 animes I ever watched

Story, emotion, atmosphere, soundtrack (and some fanservice ), it got all of that and all these things are quite well- balanced as well

We can't really complain about the ending as the authors went on hiatus halfway through the arc (no, they are not dead, in case any of you still think that they are)

and so they had to put in an open ending to allow a sequel (if the authors were to finish their work)

 

I REALLY recommend watching the anime (and honestly, it was a good idea to put in a modified version of the 28 weeks later theme into the anime (it is not exactly THAT song, but they are VERY similar (here's the 28 weeks later song, in case you don't know which song I am talking about)

It is more along the lines of this is leaving a hole in my heart (Like those other two mangas did) right now than me actually wishing for death.

2 horrible things have happened today. I finally saw a new chapter for Highschool of the dead(good part)*clicked on it*. *looks at the top*. .5?!?!?!?! AHHHHHHH. guess I will read the whole manga again... * checks chapters* WTF WHY ARE THERE NO CHAPTERS
