I don't quite follow the story, but chapter 8 was amazing.
Hope we get to see more of the manga club arc.
Fuck it, I'm all for letting the GOC kill everyone, these parahumans have such bland lives it wouldn't be a net loss
Poor dude just wanted to be rewarded for his good drawings
Tokage no Ou, LN adaptation.
I remember that manga, it had so much promise too.
Couldn't agree more. This reminds me of a manga about an MC with special eyes that change color and he enters a building under construction but ends up involved with a bunch of lunatics. Every chapter is named prologue but then the story ends with the reader more confused and waiting for an actual plot that never appears.
All of the chapters available (up to chapter 7) feel like a prologue that just never ends. Only just now we know the names of the main characters, and they haven't even explained the premise of the story.
I'm fairly certain this gets axed early, before it gets interesting and the plot coalesces into anything that makes sense. Sad, it does feel like it could get interesting.
Surprised Helvetica Scans didn't do this one.
Read all seven chapters available now and this is shit. The MC is awful, and i find myself rooting for the villains to kill everyone. When will they make a MC that doesn't act like a japanese guy?
A little more real history, you bigoted child, a little less Romantic Nationalist propaganda—not to say Ahnenerbe. (That's not an exaggeration. The "nine million witches" nonsense, never mind that's a number comparable to the Black Death, has been traced to Heinrich Himmler, head of the Nazi SS.)
Witch-hunting originates in paganism. The Roman Empire prosecuted three kinds of "witchcraft", one of them capital; those two church councils that banned witch-hunts were during Charlemagne's suppression of Saxon paganism. Most of our conception of witches is demonstrably Germanic.
Dropping this shit, too nonsensical.
What is going on?
Seriously, what the hell is going on?
I'm so lost.
Sorry, but only one of the girls did this, the others are merely treating him like an outsider, which is actually normal, since he hasn't shown to be a person they can trust yet. You've got to remember they aren't living together because they want to, they are doing so out of necessity, and a slight mistake might get them all killed. So it's quite normal of them to not be all that nice currently. Of course, things would have been different if the mc didn't act like an idiot on their first meeting.
I mean, I agree that shitting on a manga or dropping it due to one or two sort of bad or whatever chapters is a bit silly but I think it's less of an issue or ridiculous when it's so early on. The first chapter was a very strong start but if the following two or three chapters aren't so hot...I mean, you don't have anything else to go off of for it's quality. It's not absurd to draw the idea that maybe the manga is not gonna be that good if right out the gate it stumbles pretty damn hard. It might be a bit unfair but first impressions count for a lot and if a manga wants to draw you in than you need more than a tight first chapter and meandering and tropey or uninteresting second third and fourth ones.
As for me, my tolerance is much higher than most so I haven't abandoned this ship yet. I agree with others that it dropped off pretty quick in interest and quality so I won't bemoan or tar and feather those who peace out because it kinda dropped hard early. I'll stick around though, chapters don't exactly take a long time to read.
In software world, lower case letters come after (numerically) uppercase.
Why does this manga sort differently than other manga beginning with H?
It's literally after the letter Z in my listing what the fuck is this sorcery
Pretty much what Abyssal Monkey said. Yes there's going to be weak chapters and/or filler chapters. But this is only the 3rd chapter, we're not even close to entering any sort of filler content since the story just only begun.
A lot of people would be concerned or uninterested to see such a weak chapter so early on, I wasn't speaking personally but thinking out loud how this would be received in the overall readership. We've seen series get the axe very early for much less than this. Depending on magazines we've seen strong stories where every chapter feels strong and relevant and the work would be weaker for it had it not been written.
This chapter was a filler chapter at chapter 3. This means the author didn't even story board the first arc at all before he got published. This shows blatant disregard and unprofessionalism from both the editor/publisher and the author. Name any other series of decent acclaim that has put a filler chapter in the first arc. Especially a story driven one, and not a slice of life or episodic series.
I think it's a fine reason to get pissed.
Losing interest because of one chapter? Every series you encounter is bound to have a couple of bad, disappointing, empty or filler chapters. This is no reason to lose interest or stop following a series in my opinion.
I was fine with the content of the first two chapters, but chapter 3 was a big load of nothing. You can't have such an empty chapter so early in the publication, that's more than enough ground for readers to lose interest.
> beating / torture him every time he said something that they hate / dont like
> make him become their household slave
tl;dr : they treat him like prisoner/slave, the hazmat guys just want to kill him while those bitches only make his suffering last longer
So far all the girls but the fujoshi girl have 0 redeeming characteristics. This guy has no idea what's going on and no one will explain anything to him, just threaten him to keep his trap shut and not doing anything or go anywhere. I actually hate these "witches" so much I'm unfollowing this series. Despite the interesting premise, the female characters just ruin it.
Seriously the worst herorine I have ever seen.
*Someone want to burn you alive. Better tell him nothing.*
-stupid bitches-
How the fuck you want people cooperate with you if you told them nothing but threaten to kill? What a bunch of ho
