I definitely think there's some truth to them, the Heavenly Destroyer was described and implied as being quite ruthlessly pragmatic when he conquered the murim.

Not surprising at all. LINE Webtoons is a terrible website with an even more terrible community.

The hype is real.
You don't kidnap a man's daughter, implant her with mind-controlling bombs and force her to fight and kill his granddaughter or his granddaughter to kill his daughter in self-defense. Overkill is the best thing that can happen to Mak. Worse would be Hwi torturing Mak for what he did to his family.
