I got news for the mc...
It's licensed so I doubt anyone will pick this up. Volume 1 is already out, vol. 2 and 3 are available for pre-order.
No one will continue? ):
I think it's getting licensed, so it'll be hitting the stores sometime down the line
Omg really?! Why man?! I loved this series ;;
Panda Hero has dropped this manga, thank you for all their hard work up till now!
This helped a lot; thank you<3
After reading a few chapters I'm not buying it. He's absolutely gay or at least bisexual. It's like if someone was to claim they were a vegetarian but still ate burgers because they like the combo of beef cheese and bread. But only that combo...Again I don't buy this at all. Throw in that yaoi tag and be done with it.
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but Shiratori is an okama who apparently cross-dresses as a girl once a month for drama club. I don't think there is a deeper gender questioning-related meaning to this activity, at the moment.
Added Note: As far as I gather, okama is a label for a Japanese stereotype where a man has a flamboyant and feminine personality and style, but is still typically considered a man. Is often translated as transvestite, but that may not be fully equivalent since the former was originally purely about cross-dressing, I believe. Seems to be often used as a degrading insult for a variety of assigned-male-at-birth persons to whom this label may or may not accurately apply to. Depictions/definitions involve cross-dressing, femininity, gender identity and homosexuality in various quantities depending on the context.
Someone who actually studies this and related concepts could tell you more.
I don't get it; is Shiratori a guy transvestite with a girl's body or the opposite???
Omg an anime about a straight fudanshi!? It will be the first of its kind!
ANIME CONFIRMED!!
The beauty of this is that the main characters can't be gay because it would defeat the purpose of the manga.
I'm straight, and I ship guys too just for those lol/cringe worthy moments.
LOL this is like the reverse situation i had with my first job instead of yaoi it was my female co-worker loving yuri and was bi sexual. we had the same taste in women. So we would talk about the different pairings we would like to see to together while causally slipping our selves into the relations.
Don't worry, It's fine to be a fudanshi as long as you don't crossdress and take years to try to be a couple with another guy when there's an obvious best loli.
Uh
i.... like it...??? huh? wait? i'm yuri fan so why?
I'm a boy.
then, i'm reading this 4-koma.
My head is hurt. With "The hell is this shit?" reaction.
but then, i click the follow button.
I don't even like 4 koma all that much... WHY IS MY HAND MOVING TOWARDS THE FOLLOW BUTTON!?!?!?!??! XD
As a fujoshi, I APPROVE OF THIS SERIES.
Thank you for scanlating this and hoping for more chapters. ~(~)
Thanks for the explanation! I know about Okazu reference, but I guess the place where I learn it didn't explain very well. It's usually translated as 'side dish' and didn't really have the rice connection.
MC's favorite anime: Free!
This is a fascinating little bit of culture! Thanks for the explanation.
