Welcome Back!

Saw the news on the Canadian contract and thought "Gee, would be nice to have some new Flight Highschool."

Falkland will always be British.

Now, F-22 can taste the pain of F-16 in the past.

Guys

Spoiler

Just fyi.

So, I wonder when Fishbed-sunbae is going to return from hospital, if you know what I mean :)

Simple, pragmatic yet elegant, experienced... respected at least a bit by everyone. Except for F-35... but well... it's F-35 :D

That top gun reference was great. should have called that page "highway to the danger zone."

I NEED TU-95 TO INVADE MY AIRSPACE

Just popping in to say thanks for the translation! I understand that this comic is incredibly niche but it's just right for me :)

All the air forces are calling Royal Air Force dad, including the United States Air Force much to the dismay of the United States Navy.

French Army ask British Army why he doesn't carry the designation of 'Royal' like the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy. And the British Army replied that since he behead a royalty before, he didn't think it's right to use the word "Royal".

Naming of the Eurofighter: RAF wants to call it Spifighter II much to the strong opposition from Luftwaffe. French Air Force making fun of them since he already has Rafale. In the end, they agreed to name it Typhoon.

YES ace combat reference!! Was waiting for the day one of them would show up

You realize that, if you don't know something about modern combat aircraft manufacturers and the competition in their international sales, this whole series makes absolutely no sense?  But, if you do, it is very, very funny!

I literally did not get 1 joke latest chapter

For fans (pun totally intended) of noisy and intrusive TU-95, here's a report from the BBC of her poking her nose in to the north of Scotland this spring.

I grabbed off the original pictures (3000 pix wide) from the MoD website and bundled them up, if anyone wants them.

It'll never stop being too soon to make a retired f-14 joke. Goddamn congress.

I thought the translated version was also on pixiv, but it looks like there is one on tumblr. Make sure you click "read more" for an explanation of the jokes.

Oh thanks for the website, checked Anyan's blog and saw that there were still even more chapters. I understood most of the jokes and am lucky enough to have seen planes such as the SR-71, XB-70, and both YF-23s in real life. The USAF museum is worth seeing if you have even a modicum of interest in planes.

Isn't it in korean or japanese though? Or are you able to read that.

As cool as it is that this series is on Batoto, if you read it on pixiv the author explains all the in-jokes and includes fun bits of military history as well. If you don't get it, read it there and click on the explanation bits after each page.

they should have placed the name of the girls with no backpacks because it's hard to recognize them without the planes on their back.

I then to google the aircrafts in question and tend to find the answers i am looking for

i wonder how many people reading this actually understand the constant military aerospace references and in-jokes here..

If in doubt... hit a military forum.  They'll soon fill you in on what you miss.  (And, giggle over the A-10's depiction, usually -- or, so I've noticed.)

Reminds me... wasn't somebody complaining about the lack of MiGs?  Well... your lucky day, mate. :)

If 5 people got them I'd be amazed. Some of these are so obscure you can feel your mind warping. I'm just here for the cute girls with airplanes on their backs.

The Harrier sisters: both trying desperately not to be in that conversation mentally.  Well, done, F-35: your "charm" has done it again (and, way not to notice the slight retaliatory burn, there, sweetheart).

(Those Stars-'n'-Stripes ribbons?  Are so quietly disappearing into the bin... it's the blueprints that count.)
