What he should do is bring the kid to his friends' party. Everyone has cake, everyone's happy, win-win (or, well, it would be except it lets the kouhai be smug).

I do agree. He does a lot for the kid and did a lot for him. He has no obligation what so ever to go over the moon to please or form a relationship with the little kid. The kid is not his little brother, nor is he the parent of the kid... it's his cousin.
I have little cousins who are babies or small but you can't expect an adult to please them. I do take care of them and I do play with them but I get tired and exhausted easily, cause they have a lot more energy and you can't keep up with their mood swings.
The meddling kohai should really get punched. I am sick of him, he annoys the crap out of me and a punch would wake up the kohai to the reality of the world. Why doesn't bother to change himself or struggle to make friends, instead of wasting time to envy, stalk and criticize others?
really really hoping that freshman gets off his pedestal in the next upcoming chapters. his meddling is just annoying at this point.
and i can't help but sympathize with heisuke, honestly. let him do what he wants? it's his youth. he already does a lot for aki as it is, and not everyone in this world is gonna have the same levels of empathy as high-horse freshman expects them to.

I love this, one of my favourite. I love the whole babysitting where the child grows and develops, deal with all sort of issues but in the end the tough times are all good because the kids are cute

Hey everyone, I'm the admin of Honeypot Scans, just to let you know, I'm scanlating the rest of the chapters, from c20 right through to the end. I have all the raws up until the final volume, and the remaining chapters are currently being translated, by the awesome anonymous preferred from Norway Scan. I've been sitting on this news for a few months now, but been waiting till I had something solid to announce. Just so you know, I am 100% committed to this project, so you will definitely be able to read Flat in its entirety.

Yep, Bliss did scanlate up until chapter 19. I'm sure there's a mix up on the staff notice though. Both DRAT and Bliss are defunct now, but it was DRAT that had a "no uploading anywhere" policy, not Bliss. I know this because I used to upload Bliss' chapters to an online reader (I stopped after I learned how it treats scanlators). Bliss had no delay or no rehosting policy in place.
Surely bliss made until chapter 19, but really... no one want scan this manga more? Is so good and heartwarming.
The chapters were here in the past, but they're removed because bliss doesn't allow rehosting.
I love the interesting characters Aogiri Natsu creates -- each character is dynamic.
I can say that I like all the characters, even the main character, which is rare, especially, it seems, in shoujo, and other such oriented manga.
Heisuke's personality is refreshing, and it's adorable to see how he grows because of Aki.
The subtle artwork and vibrant characters are hilarious, and I can read this many times over, and have.
I'm delighted every time I see it updated.
