This manhwa, first off, is an expanded and gender-switched The Little Mermaid. It is actually very true to the original Hans Christian Anderson tale. All the author has done is add a lot more depth to it, very skillfully, too. The characters are rich and fascinating, and the art is detailed and beautiful. Evyione has captured the disturbing edge all real fairy tales have. The downside of being familiar with the original tale is knowing how it's going to end... My only complaint is that the two main characters look extremely similar to the ones from Masca. I know the artist/author is capable of drawing varied faces and figures, so why didn't she? Anyway, read this. You will be glad you did!
