Wait, Didn't Japan has this censor law on adult games so why could she see those parts?

They did, and they still do. But they don't have this sort of adult game yet either. Maybe this series is set in a happier future, where Japan finally realized how absurd their censorship law is?

I sincerely believe that the mangaka/author considered or thought about it at all. I recall a conversation in another one of these about suspension of disbelief (may have been you, or someone else), but when people don't do any kind of research before writing something they have no knowledge on... Well, I simply love when the translator (or group) look up and correct inaccurate "factual" information (arachnid is a prime example). Also, I find it fascinating how people always freak out about slavery in fiction. Especially in isekai. American slavery, which was race based, is very different from many other forms (I am specifically thinking about Roman slavery). But it isn't like there aren't modern forms of this (I have listed these elsewhere). Anyway, the reason I bring it up, is because this is a "trope" that really makes sense in a lot of isekai stories. Generally (although not universally) speaking the person will be treated far better by someone from this world than whatever world they are in... It provides the MC with a (somewhat) reliable source of information and they don't have to worry about how the other individual reacts to someone from a different universe. In many locations (historically, so theoretically in other less advanced universes) releasing a "slave" would only get them captured and sold again (especially if the individual is released immediately and without any way of providing for themselves). And, finally, in a less advanced society, one that cannot spend billions of currency on maintaining prisons, or one that cannot provide for everyone, slavery is more likely to exist and be accepted (what else are they going to do with criminals or debtors or etc). This doesn't make it right, but what else are they going to do? Kill them? (At least Roman slavery had a system to earn freedom. Again, I will try to spoiler my excessive text once I can get to it on my computer.

I agree completely! When it comes to slavery, rape, or some other sensitive topic, they tend to reject the morality of certain concepts to the point where they lose their ability to examine things rationally, non-existence after death is way more horrifying a concept than rape, slavery, and pedophilia put together IMO

Yeah, that was me talking about suspension of disbelief, I think I talked about that in  a couple comment sections, to be honest lol

It sounds like they're subtly implying that the soul isn't a thing, and if the soul isn't a thing then that would mean no afterlife, which would then mean non-existence after death, the author is either putting this in on purpose because it's his manga, or he didn't realise it would be taken that we when he threw all fo this together.

A lot of the problems we have are less a consequence of our ideas and more of some CEO or government official taking a look at the blueprints and making dumb changes to save money, it happens all the time, a lot of our nuclear reactors wouldn't have melted down if it weren't for some idiot executive deciding it was ok to use shittier materials, and yet people will still blame the idea of nuclear power out of irrational fear, rather than simply blaming the person responsible for ruining the outcome.

I'd just make them barren so they don't give birth, my bimbo harem would be for exclusively "recreational activities" after all :P

Before I forget, what should be done for "soul transfer" is, in computer terms, a pointer (or pass by reference). I.E. assume that the "person" is a soul and that the soul is something beyond simple mathematical biochemical calculations. If this is true then the brain is effectively "memory space" allocated under physical means to point to the "true location" of the "soul." Passing by reference would be swapping body "a" with physical object "b" but never actually changing the data (i.e. copying it). What it reads as though they are doing is the opposite, assuming that the "person" is purely the mathematical reactions to the memories stored, and copying those reactions into electronic media, extrapolating for some period of time, and swapping back... Which is, insane. Also, whomever attempts to claim that full genetic engineering (especially if we ever find a way to do it to "living" beings effectively) will not force people to utilize it is/are blind to reality and history. This is already happening with education... And, honestly, it SHOULD happen (with education). Someone not educated in medicine shouldn't practice medicine. Likewise, someone not biologically engineered to withstand toxic chemicals shouldn't be out into a position to work with them directly (without safety equipment)... But that ain't the question... The question is, should we biologically engineer people to be suitable for specific tasks? Keep in mind, while not with test tubes, chickens and cows were biologically engineered... The difference between long term selective breeding and genetic engineering is people knew/understood less of what they were doing (and it involved incest and a LOT more time...). Should we create tree-like stalks that produce chicken wings and have the bare minimal"mind" or sensory organs to do it? Without out need to eat meat, chickens, cows, modern pigs, etc, wouldn't exist and many cannot exist in the wild (with predators)... So... Final note, spoiler tags on my phone are bliping hard, woukd a moderator be so kind as to spoiler the above? I will try to do it when I wake up tomorrow...

Edited.

Oh ok, I didn't quite understand that bit when I read it, yeah the copying thing is so unnecessarily complicated if all your trying to achieve is True VR, a sentient AI is another thing I believe will happen regardless of what we do to about it though, and I would go way beyond just minor tweaks like that if Genetic engineering was so advanced, a massive bimbo harem, longer if not unlimited lifespan, perfect health, the body of an Olympian sex god (junior included), I could list off more, but I think I made my point.

Genetic engineering (barring to remove disabilities and illness) I understand, but "true VR?" Why? Full dive (or dream state) simply inserts stimuli directly into your senses, it says nothing about "true AI". Completely different topic. Maybe I am missing something. P.S. my statement wasn't about VR, but specifically the monstrosity that this manga depicts. "Transferring" consciousness is one thing, "copying" is another. The implication the manga is giving is that the consciousness is copied (and the one in the body shut down or stopped) and then copied back. There are SO many issues with this, the manga is only touching on some of them. (Then we get into the argument about "the soul" versus purely mathematical chemical reactions, etc.)

slave ? aikawa ? its his boss if im not mistaken.. so there is reason to submissive since its east thing culture

She is his boss in the real world, they are NOT in the real world. Right now she's a slave to the Demon Lord i.e him and given everyone else's goal is to pretty much see him dead so the game ends with his likely being the opposite exposing himself to her and immediatly defering to her is a horrid idea as is possibly showing this to the NPCs.

I have mixed feelings about True VR and things like genetic engineering involving the human genome, on the one hand, all the consequences will be absolutely horrific, but on the other hand, I really want True VR hentai and my own genetically engineered bimbo harem, and when I see how stupid some people are I momentarily become ok with all the future victims...................until my conscious kicks in and tells me what a terrible person I am for being okay with it of course.

I assume it'll happen at some point regardless of how much we resist though, Murphy still being on active duty and what not.

Classmates try to kill him so they can go back, the reverse might also hold true for him. Yet he's more worried about people where it has been established he has no relationship with, never talks to and to whom he might aswell not exist than his own life. He manages to give away his identity TWICE, both times getting into trouble and his grand idea is giving it away a third time this time to the people who want him dead and could use it against him. This guy seems to be a real genius.

I also love how he meets one classmate who apparently is/was taken as a slave. And INSTANTLY becomes submissive and deferential towards her despite there being literally no reason to do so but many against doing so including how NPCs might perceive it and the power disparity. This guy isn't just a doormat, he is THE doormat to end all doormats.

This story has potential but the author has shown to not know how to handle the characters well so I may skip this one.... serious what kind of ridiculous adult is that bitch?

my biggest problem is just how stupid the MC is, classmates tried to kill him AND will try again given the chance even more if they knew his identity, minions also tried to kill him by suspecting he was not the real thing, conclusion and normal thing to do, ALWAYS hide his identity, first thing he does, not only reveal it but go full submissive jap beta protagonist.

If some group of people actually attempt to produce the device that is depicted in this manga i do not hope they get shot, but have the "pleasure" of experiencing all of the "errors" that would come about due to it. "Full dive" (or dream state, as I prefer) is not some arbitrary "transfer" and "transferring" human consciousness isn't "arbitrary". Full dive is a out the continued reading of the neural signals and transmitting responses based upon the game's data... Seriously, if anyone attempts to create a device like this, I hope they ARE shot... Also, mimamotte, yes, I know the true meaning of hentai, however whomever mistranslated it this way the first time has caused a mistranslation that will likely never go away. If I were to have correctly categorized "hentai" as "ecchi" no one would have understood what I meant (ok, some would, but only those who actually bother to look things up, which wasn't really my intended audience). Thank you for the addition/correction, if I need to use the mistranslation again in the future I will be sure to add the addendum (as seen above) explaining its meaning and the correct word. Did you know it ALSO means change? (Hentai, that is.)

well at least i'm around. Chuck usually comes in late.

I'd assume there are massive safeguards for it, so it doesn't give you PTSD or some shit, and not just "Alright here's all your exp of being raped by satanic charismatic critters" (Courtesy of Southpark)

Remember to add `good ending`, `hero dies` and `hero's best friend is a traitor` if you're so eager to judge the series' ending by its tags.

This. Pure truth. Right Here.

I have long since assumed that when they use the term harem when describing a manga or anime, it just means three or more females will end up interested in the MC, not that it will end up with the MC in a polygamous relationship.

Same. It's best to assume it's falsely labeled. I think most of us learned that the "hard" way.

sadly, that's actually how it is.

It's a landfill of empty promises and broken dreams is what it is.

Edit: Only in Manga would a Demon Lord/King willingly put himself at the mercy of some bitch kitchen slave (schoolgirl), I would've started pimp slapping her within the first two minutes of that conversation, she's worth less than nothing.

Loved that ending of the last chapter.

Actually funny for an overused harem trope :3.

If you go onto manga updates or Novel updates the sheer amount of reading material that's tagged harem but has a one girl ending or no real harem life is disgusting.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but when I search for a harem tag, I want a harem ending, not some beta-male pansy that has an entire buffet of women to indulge in but somehow chooses the fu**ing salad bar of monogamy instead, I did not read 8 volumes of something clearly labeled harem under genres for one woman, I mean WTF!!
