I can't even put exact point where Novel section get deviate from Manga ...

Vol 1 Ch 9 still available in Manga, but after that all get skipped or get totally different ...

Vol 2 get fully skipped (too cruel and gory perhaps), early Vol 3 is the story where he get out of dungeon ...

The sanity level of that world is lower than average.

Arifureta is too light to be a comparison for this manga. Arifureta still has otaku elements like waifu and harem. But DS just kill them all (LN version)

I think she was the only likable character in the series so if she dies here it's a real waste. Not only that, she even says that Junpei is very strong but when she runs into a strong enemy she thinks, "I can't run or Junpei will be in danger." which doesn't make sense because she just mentioned that he is very strong.

She thinks he's strong but doesn't know how strong.  Like trying to figure out if X is more than Y without knowing the value of either.

it skipped a lot of thing, tamed / diluted a lot of thing and branched to the point creating it own original manga version story ...

main reason probably because the original story are too cruel to be shown in manga version ...

(like GATE, you will be surprised how racist and cruel the original story have)

the only thing I remember close to LN is at he goes out of dungeon, then all of it goes different ...

he appear at different area and situation ... he kill a lot of bandit and kill one of woman just because he don't like her ... he have a bit difficulty to enter the city and bribe the guard with expensive sweet (like usual, salt, spice and sugar is VERY EXPENSIVE in medieval setting) ... the jewel he get from bandit being sold cheaply because he sell it illegally (black market) so no one notice him ...

high priest from church detect that MC is a very dangerous person and decide / order the guard to NOT DOING ANY PROVOCATION TO MC !

that scar face lady don't appear, also evil granny from church also not available either ...

MC actually have quite difficulty to enter the guild, thus he kill one of guild member because she tried to trick him ...

he enter dark guild before entering real adventure guild ... etc, etc ...

now he should be in time line he enter the adventure guild ...

^^ ALL OF THIS IS SPOILER WHEN HE GET OUT FROM DUNGEON IN LN VERSION ^^

all of it already out of LN story ... not to mention the "evil" lover shouldn't appear at now ...

heck, even if I tell all spoilers from LN now, it will be totally useless ... because THIS MANGA ALREADY TOTALLY DEVIATED FROM ORIGINAL STORY OF LN !

Thing is, she didn't exactly go through the same stuff he did including diving into that dungeon. It's an asspull. Then again, this manga seems to care fairly little about consistency and such.
