Jeez, everytime I see Tsukamoto running on dawn I get jealous of the Japanese. I used to do it sometimes 3 years ago, but I had to stop cus the neighborhood got too dangerous and I'm frigging 5'4 tall. I really miss doing it up to the point of thinking about risking it all to get this habit back.

By the way, Tsukamoto's getting pretty badass with time huh.

I don't know why there's so few followers, I like reading Days. More so than Area no Kishi.

as a soccer series, Days is a lot better, but Area no kishi has the drama of the bros right at the start, Kazama isn't as strong as Araki and Seven is great as the character that helps the MC, a good heroine and works as a reliable commentarist in the matches. Still I like the sinergy of tsukushi and his team better.

There's a common pattern I don't like where a school from a mediocre district goes to nationals for the first time in ages (sometimes ever) and then wins it all. But given that the Tokyo reps have historically done very well in this manga's nationals, I won't mind if they go on to win it all.

seiseki is always considered to be one of the top team, so it's not really an underdog sport manga thingy. That's what make this manga more realistic.
