Wheres muh boobies and lolis comments at? I dont like this intellectual discussion wer having :3

Ha. "Intellectual," he says.

I'm sorry but you must not know much about goblins to say that.

look at dat doctorate certificate in goblinology whew y'all better haul your ass out of this league cuz y'all don't even have enough IQ to watch rick and morty, let alone to talk smack about dem gobz

Or what, you think you can freely change culture around just because it's your story? Need I remind you of what happens when you do that?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twilight_Saga_(film_series)

The consequences of altering a cultural fantasy design and setting is up to the author's competency. It is true that twilight is classic fuck up example, though from other perspective it isn't, reason being its was made to cater certain demographic target; teenagers, specifically teenage girls and gay bois. solution; reevaluate your scope of reading material.

If you would like your goblin to be eternally stupid cannon fodder and as predictable as a house tour, hey that's okay too. but to declare that every form of cultural fantasy design should be standardized all across fantasy-related media is an irony on another level. i don't know if you realized how much of an oxymoron that is to the very context of fantasy and the genre itself.

Call me purist, but changing something when there's a proper equivalent available is pretty much ignorance.

I would not call you a purist, but rather an inappropriate culture appreciator of a culture that belongs to no one in particular.

Wow, a video game playing a video game...

Let me explain this, as I wrote it knowing fully well it would cause confusion.

I'm refering to many stories that change things around for the sake of what they want to convey, Like those manga that put Dragons below the likes of mere vampires or  vampires that glitter in the sun or whatever, you got it right?

Otherwise if your confusion lies on my first sentence, it's easy, It's a reconstrucion of Arthur C. Clarke's famous phrase "Magic is Science we Can't untherstand yet".

He's saying that magic doesn't exist, and that it is only science that wasn't yet discovered, my phrase is pretty much the inverse of that.

Considering that in books and manga magic does exist, then magic is everything that Science will fail to be. As "Magic is Science we Can't Understand yet", so is Science

" The only magic that we can ever acchieve", meaning anything we can't do through science is magic.

you're telling me the comments section can be rational for once? what kind of bloody magic is this?

Nitrogen is only really boring if it's the gaseous form commonly found in the atmosphere.

I actually like that nitrogen there, because of not dying from oxygen poisoning and stuff.

It may not be boring, but this conversation about it is.

But seriously, Nitrogen is a major component of amino acids. Amino acids make proteins which make up like 80% of the interesting molecular structures in your body.

Do you think the surfaces have amino acids? Because they sure look interesting ;)

It may not be boring, but this conversation about it is.

The confusion didn't come from what was said. It stemmed from the fact that it was said at all.

It's like I go outside, look up at the sky, and proclaim, "Boy, the sky sure is blue today," and you, hearing this, then proceed to list the chemical makeup of the atmosphere and give your opinion on how boring an element nitrogen is or some shit.

Have honestly never read so much opinionated BS in a single post in my life... congratz, where should I send the trophy?

you aren't god, or their editor (basically the same thing in the literary world). you can't tell people where everything stands with the excuse that any differences are just nonsense.

a REAL critique would be that races in themselves cannot be greater or worse than any others. It depends on the individuals and the series of events that lead to their formation. Using goblins as an example, in lots of stories they are an incompetent sub-human race (that is ironic in how incompetent the humans must be to still fail to have eradicated the whole goblin race if they are really so weak), however in many others goblins are the greatest of threats with their own social hierarchy towering above even humans.

I'm sorry but you must not know much about goblins to say that. Wanna know why humans fail to erradicate goblins in fantasy stories?

It's because humans don't care about them at all.

Unless a god comes and sends a champion Orc or Bugbear to lead all goblinoids to war, goblins are only as bad as they are annoying.

A second reason is because while goblins are annoying, they won't really "attack" humans except for small group of goblin bandits, otherwise they'll just keep to themselves in their caves or forests. Orcs and Bugbears are the ones who are aggressive, and they are smarter and far stronger, which is why humans tend to focus on these races. So yeah genius goblins are ridiculous. Japanese weren't the ones who invented goblins, they are based on these guys: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goblin

True, real magic overrides and can rewrite the laws of physics. Which is what makes suspension of disbelief a possible thing. Really now my only complaint is when the authors decidees to make ridiculous things like, genius goblins(not counting warcraft ones, since they are actully incompetent fools, who keep blowing themselves up while trying to copy the Dwarves), Dragons that doesn't have anything to do with dragons(which should be difficult, due to their great variety of forms in old tales and legends. But I've seen some authors who managed to break even that), vampires that are stronger than everything(This is utter bullshit, vampires are only stronger than humans, goblinoids, and other undead(not all of them, greater mummies, high level specters and apparitions, liches, because you had to be badass in life to become one, are stronger than vampires)> They are weaker than extraplanary being, psions, dragons, demons, celestials, some of the fey(for all their glittery existence, there are indeed a couple of very formidable kinds of creatures among them, not forgetting that all variations of elves also belong to the fey).

Anyway, the point is science is a bitch

So, you're in some kind fantasy rpg game but in reality fantasy world isn't fantasy. It's city where you lived before, you still must eat, shit and go to school. Your only entertainment is your new body of female supermodel (gender bender). The latest iteration of hell.

Hopefully the house comes with furniture.

It always leaves me dumbstruck when people complain about the realism in manga that has dragons and elves and gender bending demon girls in it.

10/10 would watch 5 seasons of this as an anime... dont care for the watermellons but it fits the theam ... damed slutmogs

Had to look up what this was, no wonder I hadn't heard of it since its Manhwa. From the description of Yureka, no this isn't similar. Its not a card game and the events ostensibly take place in the real world. But please, stay away if you're gonna have a flippant attitude like that.

i agree with everything eccept that yureka is not a card game..

The only reason this setup continues is due to the author ignoring common sense altogether.

It always leaves me dumbstruck when people complain about the realism in manga that has dragons and elves and gender bending demon girls in it.

I will be surprised if this doesn't end with the rival magical girl joining the team.

So it's like a shitty Yureka clone?

I can't take a comment seriously when it's basically "pretend to be stupid".

if you can't pretend to be stupid why are you on a manga site and more importantly how are you a touhou fan

I can't take a comment seriously when it's basically "pretend to be stupid".

Really? I thought that would come natural to you.
