Whoops

I am sorry but what the hell did i miss? Was there a chapter missing? Who the hell was hakueo or whatever. If he just got it today who the hell was behind the curtain. What the motivation in all this? I... I have so many questions but i think the first to be answered is: WTF?

Yo quiero leer la novela ligera. Odio los manga con final abierto y este lo tiene.

bam, another series ends. Although, I've got to say that they sure used a nuclear sub pretty easily.

Also, lack of screentime for imouto.

It's not about the industry so much as luck and/or having connections. But mostly luck.

Reminds me of early Bakuman - how can you tell you have a good editor.

I think that luck principle is not limited to manga, also applicable to movies/books/music. Internet has helped a lot but we probably will always have things like 50 shades of grey getting so much exposure instead of "better" alternatives.

Meh~ The art was at least decent. I haven't read any of this authors other works but I've come to notice any series that has an MC with a versatile personal mech ability tends to be axed almost immediately. Loose plot and character development notwithstanding.

They lost the opportunity to publish a better manga/keep the story going.

THOUSANDS of doujins are produced every year in Japan by countless artists/writers and NONE of them are worth publication/contracting with? Really? What does that say about the industry?

You do know that quite a few - not all, but a respectable number - actually get contracted/published after attracting significant online attention, right? New manga and doujins and novelizations are launched from Pixiv all the time. One Punch Man was originally practice doodles posted on neetsha.jp. It's not about the industry so much as luck and/or having connections. But mostly luck.

You said most people will drop, which means some people will read.. good enough, no?

It's not like they lost anything by making this manga..

Thanks for your work in this manga. I did not get too attached to the story or the characters, except for Eijya because I really like cats, mostly because everything happened too fast and the few details about the context that were given had no development but I still enjoyed this manga, this story certainly was not a masterpiece but it amused me while it lasted. Thanks again.

Well, I read the LN so my opinion is kinda biased since the manga is falling way behind, but even for a "cliched settings", at least it pull it by not going the horrendous harem route, and again I like the characters.

Anyway, I like these kind of settings way more than BS like Seikoku no Dragonar which uses waaaaaaay too much the annoying loli/pettanko tsundere + fanservice that I HATE.

Maybe that was not the best example I could provide, but I don't have any in my mind which is not a seinen.

Well, my favourite shônen would be Soul Catcher(S), but it's not the same genre at all, so. :P

Also read the LN but it didn't particularly catch my attention there either, while it doesn't go for the harem route it's still more of the usual

Translator checking in, I thought Cross Regalia was a project worth working on. I'm very glad I took it on when I joined VI and look forward to reading the LNs, if scans are available. Can't comment on Hundred because I've never read it.

Thanks for the translation as always no matter whether I end up reading it or not you guys always pick great stuff, too bad many of them end prematurely especially if there are no LNs.

Great, this is the third LN promotional bullshit manga ending on my follow list today... Okay, that does it! Screw you guys, I'm going home!

That's only because you don't have any lolis. ^^

This literally had ZERO potential, same as Hundred, it's always the same shitty scenario, Authors should at least give a crap about what they're making at this point because the same shitty scenario of copying previous well known works is really getting boring. If your shitty promotional manga doesn't interest me after 30 months, chances are I'll never give a shit about it. you chould have just made a long one shot and it would have been all the same really ... All in all I'm glad that this & Hundred ended so hard working people like Village Idiot will be able to spend their time translating something original & worthwhile.

One of the worst offenders to be honest, Hundred was a tame Freezing but Rakudai Kishi no Eiyutan is just random school life shounen #9000, I honestly can't tell you anything that's different to Gakusen Toshi Asterisk and that one already doesn't take the cake of originality.

Still a better shounen manga than [insert anything by Seo Kouji]

Well, shônen with Fantastic settings are usually really similar, that's why I'd rather stick to seinen (like most of those made by /Ak/ ), but there are some gems here and there. (How about Rakudai kishi no eiyuutan, as example ?)

So much hate here.

Well, personally I enjoyed this manga. The plot was all over the place, the scenario was cliched, but the art was really good (and that is a STRONK point for me), and the character were likeable.

It was short and bad, but at least it was not boring, there was no over-the-top fanservice (and I hate this beyond imagination), and the MC was not completely clueless. At least we have a conclusion, even if it's only a summary of the first LN volume.

I don't like seeing hate in the comments. I'm reading manga because I like it, and if I don't like something, I'll just stop reading it.

Mh, nothing ground-breaking by far, but I kinda enjoyed it at times, so I'm totally fine with it. Even though it was damn rushed in the end, I don't think it would have gotten any better if they had dragged it on for some more chapters. All in all nothing you have to read, but it won't really ruin your evening if you do it anyway- just don't expect a masterpiece or an intriguing story. :P

Thats fair but stupid.

Why should audiences read the light novels to find out what happened after the anime? Imagine if you had to play a video game to find out what happened after the end of a movie. Most people would simply drop the franchise.

That seems to be what the translation team for the novel did- the dropped it, haha.

That being said, it did get me a little interest in it. If I can track down the raws for the novel (unfortunately, no Book Off in US MidWest), I might do a translation.

whoever saw this movie is either stupid or obviously not straight. I'd rather read manga like this one until my brain bursts than watch any of this gay shitty little kid cg movies made by an American studio(even The peoples Republic China makes better cg movies than them...).

Well, lets just add the Author to the list of people unable to do their "job" right (well, there are already tons of people on them, though, like politicians, police officers, doctors, pharmaceuthists, civil servants, profi soccer players, etc...) and forget that he ever existed in the first place :)

I missed the part where VIScans was forced by the mangaka to translate their series... Hundred sucks but Village Idiot picked the series and chose to translate it fully, whoever translated the LN actually dropped it because it was so bad.

You've obviously never seen that movie called "Cats and Dogs", or you would know cats are out to conquer the world.

Reminds me of .//hack, I played the game though :)
