Perhaps one of the most witty comedy manga I've read. It has the high school 'feel' that present comedy anime go for nowadays, but I like how it does not exactly depend on a colorfully cute cast (although I appreciate shows and books that go through that route), and instead we have the chaotically crazy bunch that surrounds Kageyama in Cromartie High. To be honest, seeing Freddy Mercury in anime form was one of my first intentions before watching the adaptation and reading the source, but I've stayed for the misadventures present here.
Time to look up for Mr. Eiji's other works.
It's not easy to find a truly good manga and this one is a truly good one. I feel the need to thatnk everyone who has helped me to be able to read it; mangaka, publisher, scanner, cleaner, translator, site staff and...

Ok, that's it all 17 volumes of Cromartie done.
This manga is soooo stupid yet it's a work of genius! I am now convinced that the mangaka is a stupid genius!

This is by far the funniest manga I've ever read. It's infuriatingly logical, yet so stupid at the same time. It makes me want to break things, but I'm too busy laughing to act on that.

After reading Chapter 318, I am convinced that schools could use the discussions in Cromartie to teach students rhetoric and logic.
This manga ought to come with a warning. Something like, "Do not read while drinking beverages of any type."
While reading this last chapter, I only narrowly avoided spraying soda all over my computer screen when the Romance Banchou tried using that cheesy "Be it moving forward or stagnation" line yet again.
