Description: 20-year-old Aihara Minoru has come to Tokyo to make his dreams of becoming an action manga artist come true. To his amazement, he lands a job as a live-in assistant of his favorite mangaka, Takakura Kenji, who writes a popular fighting manga called "Ultimate Banchou."

Upon arriving at his new workplace, however, he discovers that his idol is not the tough guy he'd always imagined. The truth is, Takakura Kenji is the pen name of Sekai Ichiko, a girl his age who is basically a moe character (she looks and acts like a little kid). After Aihara's obvious disappointment starts them off on the wrong foot, it's going to be tough for him to prove to her that he has what it takes to be a manga artist!

Man, Aihara is my favorite house husband, he's honest and kind-hearted and respectful, while still being really pure-hearted and slightly naive.  He desires Ichiko greatly, but that doesn't compromise his respect for her and her craft.   Also, I think it's really helpful that they are 20.  For instance, Ichiko being so proactive is great, and may perhaps be credited in part to their age.  She really takes the steering wheel of this relationship in a way that not enough female manga characters seem to.  She wants a kiss from the man she loves? She gets a hold of him and goes in.  It's so refreshing after reading so many manga where holding hands is a sin.

Just picked this up, and noticed something... Some of the facial expressions are very reminiscent of the ones in Genshiken, no? (At least in chapters 4-6)

yeezus loli-motheeeeeeeerfucking-con

This is the kind of sweet manga that makes me happy to be alive and hopeful that I can emulate even some of this. I was very satisfied with each part of the series, from start to finish.

Just read the whole series, surprised at how awesome it was....and now I'm sad cause i finished it. :'|

The definite proof my memory is bad! How come I have put this awesome series in a corner of the shelf!!

So sweet and all nice all along...It sure could benefit of a longer run, but it seems that the powers that be have chosen otherwise. And I really liked all the characters. I'll miss them.

I guess I'll just...

... see you later.

Finally, after 2 years I finished this manga. I really liked it.

This shit is good.

That was a great ride. :D

So many feels :) Im so happy and emotional right now

I kinda wanted to know Chief's story. She just kinda up and had a kid there at the end and we don't even hear about her husband or anything. Still Legal Loli is best loli.

It's my third time re-reading this and I only noticed now that in chapter 3 she only wanted to go on a date.
I'm so dumb sometimes.

hahaha really? well it happens to everyone xd

What was this great series? I read it in one night, and I was never annoyed at anything, not even once!

And the plot moved at a great pace as well. By chapter 6, they already had a kiss (not by accident) in the bag!

Greatly enjoyable! Even though I read "it wasn't out of nowhere, it was decided a long time ago", I can't help but feel the last 2 chapters came out of nowhere. They were great though. I guess this was the proper way to end a story when the author ran out of material, or was low on ... sales.

the other work of the mangaka SE is good too, the art got a boost and the story is great too.

and well the axe is too strong for the authors  sometimes xD

Awww

only one that immediately came to mind was cannon sensei tobayashi, a love story between binta-san and cannon-sensei, its heartwarming, at the end, but stupid for the begining, by georgous takarada. (author suffers from samefacing syndrome)

Uhh...any manga that's not a hentai? lol

Sweet story. Sweet ending as well. Glad to see that they're all happy in the end.

It really warms my heart to see how happy they are in the end. Fuck its so sweet.

Soooo sweet, glad the ending was so good ^^

What a great manga and what a great ending!!

I would like to read similar series, any recomendation?

i will miss this

To me it looks like it didn't got axed. If you look at the cover page of volume 4, you'll see that it was the last volume. And tbh, I like short manga like this compared to other long-ass 100+ chapter manga out there.

The thing is, manga is normally published in weekly, biweekly, or monthly magazines, while Tankobon volumes come out quite a bit after the necessary number of chapters has been collected. Thus, by the time the author had to draw a cover for the last volume, the manga had already ended.

I'm 95% sure this one got the axe.

I'll allow it too.

Now, onto SE

Is anyone updating SE? I've only seen up to ch 6.

I know I'm fond of writing walls and walls of redundant and incongruent text, but given the occasion I'll keep it short and understandable.

This series, overall, made me really happy. Thanks, ydwtt for finishing it for us.
