Fashionable Yuzu imagined the first day at her new school she transferred to after her mother’s remarriage a bit differently; she didn’t know it’d be an ultra-strict and conservative girls’ school. BTW, it's being translated in English, just not by a group that posts here.  Do some searching and you'll be able to find it.

Lesbian manga hm. Is there at least some echiness?

Why no updates on Batoto? I like the reader here :( Why do I have to go to other sites :'(

Volume 21 in spanish and with a better translation but still the whole story of harumin sister's doesn't make sense..

That resolution was rather simple, but I don't mind. The drama was a bit forced anyway.

I just wish someone could explain to me what happened right after the election day speeches. I don't get it at all... I thought Yuzu was being expelled and Mei had to take the burden of the formalities since her grandfather was absent. But then... I just don't understand the scene at all! :(

Yuri Project continue this manga!!! Finally my dream comes true!

some parts are quite good, it's just the parts of the culture that are still stuck in the middle ages mindset are so mindbogglingly stupid that it overshadows the good parts.

case in point being japan's rigid and ridiculous school/work culture of 'act like a brainless idiot and obey everything, even stupid things, just because of "seniority"'

The same could be said of the west. We'll never see why there's suddenly a huge fuss on gender even though nothing has changed at all. Homosexuals and transgenders have always existed, but suddenly we need to designate toilets. Oh and we'll never put ourselves in the position where we have to choose between a candidate whose name is attached to major casinos and another who is a blatant national security threat.

How does everything I hear about Japans culture makes me dislike it even more?

So... new chapter when?

Ch 19 is up on manga fox. After doing some investigating, Citrus is only being released bi-monthly. ch 20 should be released in jpn sometime in the next few days at the latest.

If you're expected to hire your juniors as underlings in your personal clique in the company, you damn well make sure they're competent and presentable.

I just can't understand the logic behind this. Wouldn't it be better to scout from a large, varied pool of applicants and pick the ones who are the best fit for the position rather than trying to force a small group of people to fit your exact specifications? Basing things entirely on things like seniority and background instead of merit sounds really inefficient, not to mention terribly constraining for the individuals trapped in such a system.

So... new chapter when?

These translations are actually awful.Buy the Seven Seas version, it makes a lot more sense and the characters actually seem consistent.

@Cirith Because despite the coolness of manga and anime and video games and all, Japan is actually an EXTREMELY backward and barbaric country culture-wise.

It's not manga logic and she doesn't have to be a teacher. In most elite schools in East Asia, especially in Japan, alumni hold disproportionate power over the student body due to the influence of alumni associations.

That was a very handy informative little info dump, thanks.

It's not manga logic and she doesn't have to be a teacher. In most elite schools in East Asia, especially in Japan, alumni hold disproportionate power over the student body due to the influence of alumni associations. To get a feel of this influence, go read medical and business manga where the reach and extent of alumni associations are discussed in detail. It's not fictional. Suffice to say alumni associations open doors for the students. Be it entry to elite corporations, access to prestigious hospitals, or even something as simple as a comfortable stay in a university (where a lot of your high school alumni can be found), your graduated seniors are important for your future career.

Conversely, it is important for said alumni to maintain the quality of their juniors. If you're expected to hire your juniors as underlings in your personal clique in the company, you damn well make sure they're competent and presentable. This usually means going back to school to interact (intervene?) directly with the students. I went to an elite all-male high school and my first job was working as underling for an alumnus of that school. Literally all the top graders of my high school graduation class got recruited there (I wasn't one of them, just knew one who was). Heck, I got my second job due to the boss having unshakable belief in the quality of my school's students. As you can see from the fact I'm even commenting here, that belief may have been misplaced, but, hey, not my fault.

For the record I don't mess with the school or its students. I know guys who do, but personally I dislike this system (yes, despite having taken advantage of it twice).

If anything, big sis' LACK of influence in the manga is severely unrealistic. At her age my aunt was complaining loudly to school administrators over the perceived loosening of students' "morality" in the years since she graduated (from her all-girls elite Catholic school). The scary thing was that they listened to her and let her literally retrain the school's student council on how to do their jobs. This is an old family story (happened in the early '70s) told proudly by mom about 20 years ago to my decidedly unenthusiastic little sister who at that very moment found out the source of her high school woes...

Jeebus fuck, did this last chapter (18) actually get QC'd???!?!! There are 2 people listed as QC on the last page, but there are lines that read like somebody who's spoken English for maybe 10 days would speak. Good Lord... I'm glad 7 Seas is actually doing this now.

i need more of this! this is my first yuri/school life manga ughh and now i'm so hooked.

Okay what, are these different versions or did two people upload the same exact thing?

Harumi's sister is probably a teacher now (she was the "first president" and that was at least over five years ago) and if so yeah she can yell at a student for breaking dress code, especially since this is a private school which lives or dies by the reputation it projects.

Lord help me. I have no idea what's happening or why.

Spoiler

Still, i dig it for gorgeous art and HARUMIN.

hopefully we get regular updates now and not another 5-6 month wait

I can't take this manga logic. A woman that long graduated from the school, has the power to cause ruckus in the school whenever she feels like it ? And even threaten it's students ?

I don't know if I can read this. Not because it is bad, but because I am laughing so hard my neck muscles cramp.
