I was just thinking this today, but apparently my past self already said it. Only a year ago and I have no recollection of that post.

It ends at volume 18, just before they go to war against the pyramid group? The heck? This is listed as a "complete" series...

Yeah... It's definitely not complete on this site. I just checked another site and the chapters are supposed to go up to 185.

Holy shait. Did not expect this. Started out relatively "meh" and "eh, why not, I'm bored", and finished with "I half-way knew this was how it would end, but dayum, SATISFYING and sorta feely. 4.5/5 higly recommended

I'm actually OK with the ending. The whole manga had some major flaws in it that bothered me the whole way through, so the "twist" ending wasn't really much of a twist. It was more like a "Mariya and Yarai, why didn't you figure this out 100 chapters ago? Why didn't you realize that hard drives didn't look like that fifty years ago, and what would make you think you could connect it to an modern laptop?" ending. But it hit the "main" plot points that the mangaka wanted to fill. Even if not every questions were answered it was a better, more insightful ending than I would have expected for a suddenly canceled manga. Sure, I suppose there would probably have been more babies at the end seeing how obsessed everyone in an Ecchi manga is about sex, but meh. 

They're not actually obsessed with sex so much as blue balling all the male characters. I don't think anybody ever has sex in an ecchi manga, it has to be a smut manga for sex to actually happen, and at the least a seinen manga for it to be implied to happen and kids actually show up. In a shounen ecchi manga there will never be sex or kids showing up to the MC or other young characters.

Yeah the manga was flawed, and yeah it doesn't answer questions. And in fact, I don't even remember the plot or what the twist was, because I read it so long ago somewhere else. I just saw the update so I popped in on here.

It was still fun to read until it got towards the end. Just another average manga nobody will remember in 5 years.

In regards to being "owned by the same company", it's pretty much been established that all manga aggregators are owned by the same company, copycats and Batoto being an exception.

If you perform a WHOIS on the mentioned mangastream, mangafox, and mangapanda, you'll find out that they're owned by the same group of people. While most of the actual ownership data is hidden from view, as it usually is, the probability that three different websites whose contents are almost exactly the same would be operated by different people is astronomically large.

Obviously the Chinese have found out that owning multiple websites and streaming the content from the same datacenters is cheap, and that it would be possible to increase their total userbase by encouraging elitism and exclusivity in their userbase e.g. "pls host here and only here", "this website is better because those websites are scum", "these guys take scanlator's demands seriously" despite all of them being the same illuminati bogeymen.

It's no wonder people are confused.

tl;dr beyond the walls of Batoto, you should do whatever you want when it comes to aggregators because you have no alternatives available. Although you're welcome to believe in the sweet lie of an alternative if you want.
