Le Rape!

Oh Samura. I do wonder what's wrong with you....

This is harsh. I'm relieved that the rape scenes were confined to two chapters. You don't need more than that to feel pity for every girl riding the coach. This is one of those stories where having hope and enduring for another day is so painfully cruel.

Never clicking random again

this is too suffering to read

thank go for the ending though

If it wasn't for ch4, this wouldn't have made a lot of sense. Instead of sacrificing legally innocent orphan girls, wouldn't it have made more sense just to impose the death penalty on the life prisoners? lol

Fuck. I just finished a rage inducing, frustrating manga. Thought I'd read something "different"
Screw you Samura Hiroaki

this is some fucked up shit. and i thought what happened to the female lead of harukaze was bad. damn that caught me offguard. and the way the chapters ended with a picture of a carriage like a bad punchline.

you want to be an actress? carriage.

you betrayed and killed your friend? carriage.

you want to know the truth? carriage.

Chapter 6 managed to hit me hard.

The nobleman deserved to suffer a lot more, but his painless death is also a part of reality.

Out of curiousity, when you think of "sexism" or "chauvinism," do you think those things are things only men can be?

There are few female rulers compared to male rulers. And even then, there are examples of them being just as bad as men can be.

Catherine the Great invaded neighboring countries and violently oppressed the serfs.

Indira Ghandi ordered Operation Blue Star which killed hundreds of civilians (from negligence) and set the stage for violence from/towards Sikhs for years to come.

Bloody Mary burned a few hundred Protestants at the stake (just for religious dissent).

Chinese EmpressTzu-Hsi? Tied to assassination of political rivals? Check. Very corrupt government? Check. Spent government funds on herself? Check. Starting a violent rebellion that ended in failure? Check. Ordering a concubine to be thrown down a well for not staying behind after said failed rebellion? Check. IIRC, she even said a woman should not be a country's leader on her death bed.

Elizabeth Bathory violently murdered hundreds of little girls (think the woman who thought bathing in girl's blood would keep her young).

And you can find more if you tried looking it up.

All human beings have the same thought processes. Everyone is selfishly pursuing whatever it is they value. Ultimately, those that value specific things will generally act in similar ways, regardless of gender or any other way in which they are differentiated.

I know, because women have never done anything evil ever (like Catherine the Great, the last empress of China, "Bloody" Mary, etc.).

Now if you said "sadists are such scumbags," you wouldn't sound so brainwashed.

I'm sorry, but even though women can be manipulating, heartless beings, I still think men have done more. Think about ruthless rulers, psycho-killers and rapists in general, usually you're thinking about men.

On another note, I'd never have imagined this would be on batoto. Especially since it appears the author originally wanted to do some "ero" mango.

Chapter 2 was really hard to get through.

Men are such scumbags. That is all I can say after reading this. It is twice painful to acknowledge, cause I am a man too. Totally depressing...

I'll be damned Forever AMEN!!!

wow....that was...dark?

This was me every time a girl appeared in this manga

Spoiler

I'm not kidding.

Props to the author for making every scene firmly rooted in reality and nothing gratuitous/beautified because there's nothing beautiful about what happens in this manga. And this skilful presentation of such a disturbing, repulsive premise is what makes this title stand out together with the detailed artwork. I'd definitely not recommend this to everyone because it's not for everyone; it's not senseless violence or gore, but it definitely evokes some very strong, unforgettable emotions from the reader. 8/10.

I..uh..well. Read at your own risk. Can't say it made me sit in a corner and shake violently in horror but it is disturbing.
uhhh lol
It's depressing I guess. Not much more comes to mind.
God good, those poor children
I feel sick...
Poor girls :(
In the last chapter... Was that a reference to Anne of Green Gables? The orphan was named Shirley (like Anne Shirley). Haha, and her name was Cordelia--the name Anne Shirley always pretended was her's in the book. The woman was called Marilla, and as she was dying she remembered talking to her brother, Mathew. And they were from the Gables orphanage (like Green Gables).
Seems kind of strange and random, referencing a childhood classic in a story like this.

So repulsive, this author can really make you feel for others. Didn't feel so grossed out in Blade of the Immortal even once and sadly he's often not so far from truth,
