Just in case anyone's wondering how this quirk is supposed to be "Son Goku like".
It's a reference to Sun Wukong (Son Goku in Japanese) from Journey to the West (first published in 1592).
He's known as the Monkey King, and can pluck his hair from his body to transform it into anything he wants. He usually turns his hair into copies of himself. He owns a staff that can change its length, thickness, or weight at will. He can also ride on clouds.
Dragon Ball's Son Goku is essentially based on Sun Wukong.
They also have a direct link to the author, so cases like the first chapter where we all thought that chainsaw guy was responsible for All Might's injuries due to online translations won't happen. I'm all for fun, but sometimes accuracy is vital too. Furthermore, "over localize" is a very subjective opinion, something that can't be said about anything unless they go REALLY over the top, which I haven't noticed.
Well, that's really sad. I really don't like MS translations and yet they take manga series that are already being picked up by other groups, but rarely anybody wants to do the same or keep translating when this happens.
Too bad there's no other choice now, If FA stepped out of the picture lol

according to their website, FA scans is dropping the series bc they want to make "a clean break from scanlating the mainline series in favor of focusing on continuing to translate the side material that’s not already being translated elsewhere, such as SMASH, the volume extras, and the side guides and novels."
...personally, i think they got (understandably) upset at being DMCA'd, too. they worked super hard only for the chapters to get deleted.

Either way, even if this series didn't get hit by DMCA, BnHA on Batoto is essentially dead since Fallen Angel has dropped this.
And here I was hoping to sit and have a good reading of Boku no Hero...

The "destroyed head but still works!" was totally bs tbh. But yeah, Shounen manga logic.
To add to this, afaik, Ragdoll didn't even have a centric arc where we knew of her life struggles and whatnot as an individual to make the readers give a shit about her (a single flashback from someone else doesn't count). Even when she was kidnapped, everything revolved around the kids trying to make up for their mistakes by
saving her and idk who else from the main cast.They just wanted to save Bakugou, they didn't even know about her lmao. She was that fodder.Anyways, I understand that If Mirio loses his quirk for reals then It would allow "development". But at the same time, how is that any different from not losing it in the end??? Either way It's something that has already been done. People say If he kept his quirk after all of this, It would be a waste and the manga would be "generic". But It's even more generic to have a cool character (or at least cooler than the MC at the moment of its demise) get written off the story for the sake of MC.
I guess It depends what Hori decides to do with this one. Wasn't he like subverting tropes or smth in his manga? Or at least was decent keeping things interesting.
