Few months ago I watch ExtraCredits about ancient Summerian. They dont bake the clay. They just leave it dry. Maine next project will be intresting because she is somehow correct, although not even 50% correct.
Well, it's...not that.
Well, honestly, she had so many unusual skills (like papyrus knitting) that her not knowing how to bake clay is actually refreshing.

If that video is worth anything, adding from what we're gleaning from recent chapters:
Either a steam explosion from not fully drying the clay... or it contained limestone and other impurities that should've been removed by slaking the clay(add ton of water to it, mix it up until it's a creamy substance) and then passing it through a window screen to get rid of rocks and others crap in it...

Manga removed her violent threats. In the WN, I think she was supposed to say things about "crushing Fay like he crushed her tablets", or "making it so he could never enter the forest again". They were supposed to show up really late, causing Maine's father to scold them when finding out she had no intention of keeping their promise, but fearing over the character of his daughter and her devotion to creating "BOOhkz".

Hormones are different. It's not surprising if she's emotionally not too stable. And it's also not surprising if she's new at dealing with people, 'cause before she died she was a serious loner. So she's basically a kid except for some knowledge and the ability to make and consistently pursue long term plans.
