Honestly, I'm not even sure what's going on with Arata Kangatari as a series. Judging from the lack of new Chinese scans (been at 240 for some time now), I'm assuming it's on hiatus as far as new material goes. I know that there are remastered editions of the earlier volumes that have been coming out with new scenes and such, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it (though I wouldn't be surprised if they did, considering the publicly reported problems with her earlier editors). And if they do, I have to wonder when she'll get back around to the ongoing story.
I don't even remember the chapter or the then current plot I was reading.

Kodowaki is such a punkass that the best way with coping with his dbag snowflake elitism is to go through a couple chapters of Akumetsu, then return to this series. Thats how frustrating this guy is.
It's been around since last month; it's just that no one (or at least, no one that has the initiative to upload) bothered to check the scanlation team's site until I did so a couple of days ago. Apparently not since March, even, since 214 was released at the tail-end of that month. =P

Honestly, I have no idea how long it will be before we ever reach an ending, but I will say that the story is rather enjoyable.
I've stopped at roughly 30 chapters after the ending of the anime plotwise, is it still interesting enough to keep on reading or should I just wait till it's finished and reread it?
I finally catch up with the latest chapter and I just love how this manga twists and turn.
That would be nice, but sadly he's Arata's Sasuke.
There's no Shounen Ai here... But I must admit the relationships between some of the male characters pisses me off. And what happened on latest chapter made me pull this manga of my follow list for the time being.
It was good manga, but I think I really should wait some chapters, maybe after 10 or 20 Kadowaki is finally gone for good(Wishful thinking)...
It's been a while since I have read this and I can't remember anything about Shounen Ai. Can someone explain where it is?
its because its action base on male protagonist and woman surround him, adventure to other world like other shounen manga i guess

Well I pretty much just binged this and read up to what is released on here even though there is a big plot hole that is bothering me and am wondering if I missed something.
If Himeou can tell what all the hayagami are doing like the incident on muroya where a zokushou turned to a demon, why can't she tell when Harunawa kills all of the himezoku maidens which is why Arata got in this whole mess? and why can't she tell that the six shou are all demons?
That might be because the author is better known for shoujo for example Fushigi Yuugi. An both are very similar works. The main reason that really makes it shounen is that it is released in a shounen magazine.

Good god, Kotoha is till being a bitch. She should have lost her right to act jealous after she dropped the bomb she did on Arata... I hope she drops this act soon.
I started reading this 2 days ago and could not stop, so now I read it all. I really enjoy this manga: for one, the arcs are not too long, so the story advances at a pleasant pace. As some questions become answered, new aspects adding depth to the story turn up, makes you feel like the story is well thought-through.The characters are varied, and develop well and I feel sympathy for almost all of them. And I really like Watase's style, the costumes, the fantasy world...
I have trouble understanding why some people think this is a shoujo. Just what part of this manga doesn't make it a shounen? The fact that the women don't have ginormous breasts and show their panties every minute for once (although the author does make time for that, too)? I actually appreciate that, and the author did, in my opinion, make a very smooth change to the shounen genre.
I can't wait for the coming chapters
