That melancholic finale....
First of all, what a great cultural critique! One of my favorite pieces of realism out there.
Second, I appreciate the end. Unfortunately, this is war ASWA is dealing with: people die, sometimes for some stupid reasons, but they die nonetheless. By choosing this ending, Ha Il-Kwon is showcasing the reality that many people have had to deal with during their lifetimes, war or not. Classic Disney endings are a foreign idea and don't happen very often in the real world.
Youngsoo's decent into madness (and the entire story, for that matter) reminds me of certain aspects of Lord of the Flies... The orbs aren't the main idea of the story - it is the interactions and thoughts of the characters as they try to deal with this awful circumstance that is the focus of ASWA. This is my English class part of me speaking, but if I ever had the chance to write about any critique I would choose ASWA.
In any case, awesome story once again Ha Il-Kwon. I am looking forward to your next work!
After Annarasumanara and My Heart is Beating I knew Ha Il-Kwon was a seriously good storyteller, but this blew my mind. I sat down this afternoon to read a couple of chapters, now it's 02:17 and I haven't done shit for my exams anymore
Anyway, on the ending. Looks like our MC inadvertently caused, or was unable to avert, a huge trauma for Nara. We'll never know what she actually felt, which was quite a surprise for me, but I think she suffered the most out of everyone. Despite the foreshadowing, I was still surprised Young Soo actually did that.
Also this^ It was a great ride.

Ha Il-kwon is definitely talented, great manhwa. I feel sorry for Nara though. She´s such a strong person. If she had been like most other female characters, that is to say weak, she would only have been able to sit there and get killed.
well it would be awesome if author would show what triggered (quite literally) that crazy behavior... I mean there was nothing foreshadowing it. Anyway was nice ride.

I suspect the lack of a 'proper' (for the lack of a better term) resolution is quite deliberate. The characters themselves do not reach a 'proper' resolution.
The last chapters felt really rushed but this end was still quite incredible. Another great work by Ha Il-Kwon

I understand that fella will went psycho at anytime but didnt expect it to be in this way. The development is fine but the closing method isnt really satisfying for me. I guess i was expecting him to assault the girls and to be revealed of his sins instead of everything to be kept in the dark...

The manhwa worked very well. I didn't really appreciate the themes until the afterword, but I was like 'woah' after reading it.
