I hope i didn't read the epilogue.

It's like birdman. You want it to be a happy ending but it's not.

I don't want a bad ending at all. I really wanted a happy ending. In chapter 15 Eunwoo say: "I still can't forget the scene i saw. It was like a lie, the fact that you committed a simple act like this. I still had so much i wanted to ask you. Even though you were still alive, you wouldn't wake up. It might be a dream. But it doesn't matter. I kept hoping. Hoping to have chances to protect you.". After Eunwoon's thoughts a conversation between them begin on the window and she say "I kept my promise". The promise was about killing herself. All this is the reason why I think she's dead.

The sentence you mentioned "You were alive but you wouldnt wake up" clearly mean that she was right in front of him (window scene) but she wouldn't wake up (because she is dead). This meaning that Eunwoo never stood up and reached the window but it was happening in his mind. So he had Jinah's dead body into his arms and she wouldn't wake up but in his mind she was alive in front of him.

I don't really get why the chapter 16 was named march 3rd. What happens in chapter 16 doesnt add up. He again gets a message and freaks the fuck up, it would seem, but its just a class change. Moreover why the hell would we have a epilogue like that? Is authorbro  just messing with us? Chapter 16 gives us zero indication that it's itself a dream.

And as pointed out in your edit, she allready had a new female friend. She took her brothers accident pretty well, she seemed to change so much for the better. So her just flat out killing herself feels out of character. It goes against the characther development we were getting. Seeing how authorbro made her so colourful, or more vivid as story went along, too.

You have to remember also, this was a fairly simple slice of life story. Not some mystery psychological story.

Also, add to that, chapter 16 page 8, seems like symbol than jinah got over her past and is looking forward for the future.

Bad end here doesnt make sense.

I'm fairly positive i know now, after rereading few times that the cut scene was his dream.

So i think we got a happy ending.

also

bro why are you making me analyze things for two hours

what the hell...

I agree with you... What I can't seem to understand is why chap. 14 and 15 have almost the same exact beginning... The odds of the same thing, happenning twice on the same day, are very low, on my opinion... If he realized that the "come here" was how se replied normally, then the second time, he wouldn't be in such a hurry... Also, one thing that is eating me away, is what is that "dream" he is talking about... For me, it is too shallow to just say he is imagining she is alive, while she is dead in his arms... Do you understand what I mean?

But bear with me, and this is my theory behind that "dream". That dream, is actually the whole of chap.14, before he wakes up and sees the message. That's why he is in such a hurry to find her when he wakes up. He says that she was "alive but wouldn't wake up. it might be a dream" because that's what he dreamt before, he arriving at her home, and she being alive waiting for him to come.

Anyways, for me, there are actually two clear endings, the bad, and the good.

Here's my take on this:

And remember to put spoilers in spoiler tags pls

It's as if you guys want a bad ending.

What if threw a curveball and said that chapter 15(and the end of chapter14) is dreams and epilogue is real?

Epilogue is titled march 3rd, almost 5months later the events of november, in this time she could have had plenty friends, new friends.

Add to that Eunwoo said in chapter 15 "You were alive but you wouldnt wake up" implying she didnt even die from cutting herself. Jinah wanted to take her brothers place in having a coma?

But still, all too confusing.

How it's possible some people don't get this? The scene on the window was part of Eunwoo's imagination. In the epilogue it's how things should went accordingly to Eunwoo's mind. The female friend that was with Jinah is her dead friend. The epilogue it's only an alternative world imagined by Eunwoo where things went well and everyone was happy. There are no open endings: Jinah cut herself and died. Thanks for the translation.

EDIT: so, after reading some past chapters, the girl with Jinah in the epilogue is actually Kang (that girl that got in Eunwoo and Jinah way in the library) and not her dead friend.

I loved this story.

But gotta be real, the last chapters were confusing.

- what happened to the brother later on?

- we just like dropped the thin with jinah having a female friend?

- are suposed to take the end as multiple endings, one continous ending, or an ending mixed with reality and dreams?

-if this is multiple endings, which one is canon?

I would have hoped bit more of a conclusion.

Still, a great story. 12th chapter was def the high point of the series.

A big thanks to Träumerei for bringing this to us.

Hoped for a happy ending.

I feel really dumb the 2 or 3 last chapters were so confusing
I don't get it at all...
-__-

It feels like those chapters were cut in pieces and put together randomly.

Thank god, scared me towards the end.

Maybe I missed it, but is the brother okay?

LMAO! I know right? I mean, I'm happy they ended up together but is the brother even alive. XD

Maybe I missed it, but is the brother okay?

Thank you Träumerei Scans & 2KB. The last couple of chapters were a roller coaster ride of emotions

Thank you all for following us on this project! I hope you enjoyed it till the very end.

As a reader, I interpreted the last two chapters as a mix of reality and dreams. What do you all think?

As for my opinion on the author, I think for a debut work that it's fantastic, of course, there's always room for improvement. The art style changed over the chapters, there was subtle references here and there, but all-in-all, ended well.

He smiles a lot when he knows that his friend might be in a coma.
Wasnt there 16 chapters? So theres 2 left.

That explains the beginning. Her mother or family is going to be awful.

Thanks for the work TS.

These guys never learn!

i wonder why this webtoon is underrated (not in bato.to) ?

That's why you're not supposed to choose what mangas/webtoons you read based on ratings. You'll miss out on a great story.
