I've noticed that the art in Chinese manhua tends to be a bit different from typical manga art . . . actually, more variable if anything. I feel like the Chinese industry is maybe a little less professional but at the same time a little less homogenized.
Even though I had a hard time adjusting to the art style of this manga, the story is pretty good overall. It's simple, but it still manages to transmit that warm fuzziness with every chapter.
