Who cares, seriously? =.=" It's still marked as shoujo-ai, so any reader knows what to expect.
But you know, you can remove the tag yourself if you think it's erroneous (just click of the blue pencil on the right of the tags).
Warning!!!
Basically all stories are without any Romance involved (Shoujo Ai only). Even the last story that features a male character just ends to be Katakoi/Kataomoi from his side, so it doesn't qualify for the Romance tag according to the definition of Batotos Romance tag[as there is no love between a man and a woman here].
I'd like someone who can to remove the Romance tag to stop potential readers from being misled and reading/checking out content they might not/do not want to read.
Well, yeah, that's early Canno for you. Very minimalistic and ethereal, but I guess pretty frustrating. She liked her vague not-quite-resolutions.
To her credit though, it's not that often that you see a story where a girl has a male childhood friend… and just sees him as a friend, not as a love interest.
My feeling about these stories is that several of them feel a bit lacking as short stories BUT could make an interesting basic concept for a series. I'd totally read a comedy series about the Occult Club, for example.
ugh the first story was horrid, that kind of dynamics is really easy to screw up, and that's what happened. As Lyendith said, the chick's such an "unapologetic jerkass", and didn't have enough depth for me to like her despite that
I feel like someone else should be in charge of writing... inconclusive and weird as hell.
fully romantic with satisfying endings is my thing but ill bear with it
Wooooow, that's old. ò.Ô Going by the art, that was really her early period. Interesting though.
I might try to translate Kogumaza no Maria, though the pages are a bit small.

Cannos website has them and few other works, don't know what of those are published in this one and other tanks.
I haven't heard of that one. =O Do you have the raws?
(as to why no one had done these before, I don't know… Canno seems to be more obscure than other yuri authors in the West.)
Hence why it "won't go anywhere"… That's not the only obsessive character Canno has written (Towako from AnoKiss had some issues too), but a downright sadistic girl like that is quite unusual for her. The last page seems to indicate that Natsuko is starting to feel some remorse, though…
I get wanting to see her troubled and agonizing over you...especially since they are only friends but making her straight up bawl like that is just cruel.
Thanks for the translations! I just read the raws on Cannos website yesterday, and wondered why no-one had done these before.
Btw are you guys doing any other Cannos stories (like こぐま座のマリア)?
For this compilation volume, we start with a cute, funny and light-hearted sto… okay, not really. >.>
I wonder if Natsuko inspired Matsuri from Citrus, somehow… They look kinda similar, and are both up there in the "unapologetic jerkass" department… Yet for some reason, I love Natsuko and I hate Matsuri…
