Ah, I was missing Chokotto & Hobbes, err...Chokotto Hime.  And even moreso after this chapter, I don't think Cookie is "mute" so much as "chill and doesn't speak cat"  (or at least, cat gestures) and portions of the story are told from the cats' perspective.

There is nothing like the old fairy tales in their original versions.

Difficult chapter, though short.  I may have mangled some of the secondary meanings.

Haha, that reminded me of when my mother's late cranky cat Yato bit me if I smelled of men/boys. He thought I was "his". That earned me a lot of scabs on my arms.

As Kanako said, this only a form of kawaii communication between girls.

Strange.  This chapter had references to the pets, but the pets themselves were pretty much absent.  It's all about humans this time.  But not for long.  The next chapter gets right back to cat and dog.

New character is fun. Creep cat can fuck off tho.

For being only eight pages, this was a horribly difficult chapter to translate.  I may have got some of the meaning wrong.  4-Koma is a format which pretty much requires a punch line every four panels, and as such relies on idiomatic expressions much more than regular manga does.  So the original language is much more "Japanese" than usual, and the resulting English muddier.

That was... strange.
