But really, I can't wait Arata vs Taichi. I think this match will be great. But I have the feeling that Taichi will be the next Meijin. The author leave to much clues about it and even Suou want play against Taichi.

Really think this should be the arc that wraps up the story. Maybe with an epilogue after the queen / meijin matches are done.

Certainly--looking back now, you're right. I had to put two and two together since they didn't explicitly say it outright. Anyone could have easily missed the clue though, that one panel that highlights the date of the event on the calender....even more so when it was so long ago (after 34+ volumes) without rereading or having really good memory.
All in all, Harada was supposed to be the challenger yet he failed to provide challenge even with dirty tactics, and you're making it Suou's fault. You're entitled to your opinion of course, but it doesn't change the fact that your view looks one-sided so far, not unlike those karuta officials'. Oh, and justifying double standards with love or lack of thereof for karuta is fundamentally wrong.
