So, uh, did Kishibe and Shima go on a date, or did I read something wrong? 'Cause that seems to be the subtext from page 4.

But seriously though, a bad first date is not like the end of the world. You get to watch how your others handle unexpected situation. Might even fall deeper in love with him/her (or starting to plan your bail plan)

Okay, Kishi MIGHT be getting a little on my nerves. There's "helping out your friend on her date", and there's "meddling on other people's affairs and plans". She's just being annoying now.

(Which might build up to an arc where Kishi and Chihaya bicker and fight because of this causing both to grow as people when they make amends, but not really putting all my money on this bet)

I might be, but I don't think so. If Kishibe's interfering in Chihaya's romance becomes a standard routine (such as forcing her way into being a third wheel on their dates or continuing to go behind Chihaya's back and bullying Shima into doing this or that)  I might have to forego reading this series. If Kishibe was actually doing these things solely with Chihaya's best interest in mind, I would have a different opinion. But she's not. Her sole interest is toying with both Chihaya and Shima for her own amusement.

I'm beginning to despise Kishibe. Toying with her so-called best friend for her own amusement and meddling in her affairs behind her back. And, perhaps worst of all, not respecting Chihaya's determination to lose weight. Really, with friends like her, who needs enemies?
