I agree. He's been spoiled too much by his ability. People who are too spoiled take a while to learn to shape themselves.

One of the time looper's banes. Depending on how silently it entered your system, it might be beyond even time's reach.
Old habits are hard to break. I didn't expect him to absorb everything in the first go, and his voluntary checkpoint shifting is natural to his impatient personality. Yes, he has all the time in the world, but he has yet to value the concept of efficiency.
Oh for fuck's sake. How stupid can you possibly be?! Remember what happened last time you let super rich people take you some place private (and completely in their power) to gamble?! Learn from the past, you moron.
Let's ignore for the moment that you have an incredibly OP power that lets you have infinite time to do whatever you want and you choose to do nothing but cheat to get rich.
At least cheat in a way that doesn't draw unnecessary attention to you!
You should have already learned this lesson from arc 1! And then the almost-dead chick gave you practically this exact scenario for you to avoid and you run right into it immediately. You deserve it for being a greedy dumbass.
"How can my character make a ton of money without any effort?" That line really cracked me up. The main character might be a bit of an idiot, but I can't dislike him. He's straightforward, I have to give him that.
Chapter 10 was on point, this woman is a genius! Right up to where she predicted her demise.
Okay, I read this and then read 9 chapters of Revival Man and I like this way better. The protagonist is actually interesting and not just the stereotypical "I hit people, but it's okay, because it's for justice" idiot.
The story also has some actual twists and turns and a sense of danger (what if there's really no way out? it's like a puzzle!) instead of just having the protagonist blindly run at the wall over and over until the wall breaks.
With that being said, it's probably unreasonable to compare the two, since this one's kind of a mystery / psychological type of story, while Revival Man is just action, and the powers are very different too.
Also, I agree that him going into gambling for money is a little silly, but hey, maybe he has more fun this way? And even if that's not the case, you can find plot holes that size pretty much everywhere.
The "it was all just a dream/fantasy" ending? Kind of dull after the high expectations raised by the cliffhanger.
Whoah, that was quite the turn! Didn't expect that XD
I like Revival Man, but it's not a rewind story by definition because the world can progress without him (three days' worth).
The whole points is that he sucks. He's weak bitch and he's no genius. He probably would be one of the worst gamblers in history if it weren't for his cheat.
He keeps screwing up and
He is no hero or genius or monster. He's just some moron who won the super-power lottery and I think that's the point.
I'll keep reading this. It is worse than Revival Man so far, but still interesting enough for me and the target demographic that I am in.
I am usually really happy when GoS picks up stuff, but this rewind plot is pretty damn weak. Cocky sh!t for brains character goes to make money. Yawn.
If this bored you like it did me, check out Revival Man instead. It has alot more action, a likeable MC, revenge and all the other goodies you'd want in a rewind title. See? Way more interesting
It's nice to see he uses it to get rich, but he could just play the national lottery. Or any other contest/game that doesn't involve criminal underground
SPOILER
He can only make single check points on a day, and he can't go back to any time before a set check point.
Also, check points "reset" if he falls asleep.
There are more "scenarios" that will be discussed later.
I doubt that there is a restriction aside from the one already stated; given the way the story has shaped up in the two chapters I'm expecting that it's going to be about his bloated ego getting the better of him. He doesn't seem to have much going for him other than his power... I'm looking forward to seeing the author crush his hubris.
I personally don't mind a creative scumbag for an MC with this kind of power, even if he's willing to get someone else shot in his place.
That said, I hope his power's restrictions are explained more thoroughly soon.
"Genius gambler"
"Checkpoint"
Garbage.
