I love this. MC is hilarious! It's really animated but keeps its realism too. Unique setting for a josei--or manga in general too!

the joke, I think, is that it's an oily broth, and quite thick. Most people wouldn't drink the broth, at all. But since she didn't know, she took his word for it, and was made an embarrassment.
Huh. Seems not bad, I kind of like the way ch. 2 went. I haven't read one of this sort of josei in a while, I'm in.
I'm going to guess it's not a fat joke since she wanted to make him drink the broth to get back at him.
Maybe it's about being unrefined, slurping down the broth like an uncultured hick? (They were talking about how the guy is from the city, and she was from the country)
I'm just making a random guess, though, I have no idea. XD
This is actually an entertaining manga. I like the MC and how she is really resilient.
