well the second season (from 24 onwards) was all about the drama, they really didn't grow in the end, she was suuuuper insecure, he was mopey af. Also ...
the other guy is like the prince in the story, in the end he really were there to move the plot and even if he say to her that she needed to talk to him, he ended helping more to accelerate the broke up.
yep, he ended toying with him for 6 years!! that really shocked me, talking about low self steem (the other guy this time)
after so many years, I can finally close this manwha. Loved the song I found that time https://soundcloud.com/demta/ost4 years ago and loved the song the author mention in the aftwerwords https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz_DvmOc2ic
but at least for me the last part of the series sucked, the ending wasn't that bad, at least he could move on, but still it doesn't leave a good taste, I will always remember the first part in a good note at least.
and yep the second part was full of drama for the sake of it, although for some moments it was interesting, the problems of him having less and less time, always pushing himself until failing his work and taking for granted his relationship, he really needed to talk and got possesive instead, and ...
What retarded conflict is that shit in the beginning of this?
I really hope this doesn't go on and become shittier, but I have low expectations right now.
To me it was a story of a snowball effect of mistakes and deciding to move on. Which means growth for the mopey guy,
However, that said, leaving the way he did, left it in her hands. Saying "I remembered, you where this important to me", so I was hoping instead she would seek HIM out.
Being personal growth for her realizing that he had never forgotten her after all this time. Well, at least I can play that bit out in my mind. So the end is sort of open in that regards.
To be honest, not really. If she's that volatile and he's that mopey, she's better off with someone else. I thought this was a series about making a small mistake and trying to make it right, not a series about two grown up children not being able to make it right with each other directly. It's a thing and people are in their right to like it, but it really got ridiculous when both sides of the story found excuses to start menacing the other.
Wasnt a bad ending. Just, bitter sweet. We always want them to get back together don't we?
The last chapter tho was a bs chapter. comments from the author... really... just include them with the final... :/
There is always someone who wants to blame the victim. Hint: That is what you are doing and its a real nasty thing to do.
Insecure? Having a hard time talking about it? That is real ppl for you . Especially when they are young. People like just need the right person to break the wall down. Its called being a good match.
I fail to see where there is abuse in this story. What happens to Tomboy in this story IS HER FAULT. She refuses to communicate her insecurities with her boyfriend as he becomes more busy with his job and instead uses a guy who has a crush on her as emotional support. When confronted with this emotional cheating she dumps her boyfriend. End of story.
Let's look at the supposed incident that was the "final straw". She prepared a song for her boyfriend for his birthday as a treat. He got sucked into an event at work. She cries on the shoulder of library guy. Question number one, who was the song for? The boyfriend. Who's birthday was it? The boyfriend. Yet she was so self absorbed that she saw it as "I" didn't get to give my gift. Instead it should have been "my boyfriend didn't get to get HIS gift on HIS birthday". If all this had occurred on her birthday i could have had some sympathy for her.
I really wanted to like this Manhwa. I have no problems with a story about a relationship ending. I loved "5cm per second" and I guess I was hoping for something similar. Instead we got a breakup over a ridiculous reason and the MC blaming himself for something that was not his fault.
i'm gonna borrow a quote from 500 days of summer. this is not a love story, it's a story about love.
Its odd that people think the ending is bad. Its not a bad ending at all. It was most certainly a good ending. I thought this manga was really heartwarming and endearing. If you like dating sim's and romance mangas that are pretty much like a dating sim, then this certainly isn't for you. If you like a good, thought-provoking story, then this story is worth reading IMO.
If you are going to read this do end (I recommend that you do) DONT READ the spoiler. If you are quitting because of the "bad ending" here is an alternative thought:
@ Scruffy: You know when someone gets beaten up, taken advantage of, or victimized, there is always someone like you, saying its their own fault. I find that disturbing.
@ Bladestone: There is a deeper meaning and its a lot more than you seem to think. I think you have completely mis-read the relationships between the three.
Yeah basically she has screwed with 2 guys hearts and seems to have absolutely no remorse over her behavior. Her "lets breakup" speech contained no hint of apology for her behavior, she blocks him so not allowing him to discuss and at least sort out his feelings over the breakup, and then when she buggers off she just leaves notes on his back.
She really is bad news. I almost feel pity for the library guy as he's still stuck in her trap.
I know there is supposed to be some deeper meaning here about both people communicating and also the moving on part for the MC, but it falls a bit short IMO. Too much focus on them getting together if the moral of the story is about (the lack of) moving on. Their breakup was too lame and too quick to really carry that premise.
Also, the MC gets a bit too much blame in this in the story. Sure ignoring your GF is bad and being jealous/possessive is bad but honestly Tomboy was pretty bad here. If you compare the two "interlopers" and jealousy aspect Tomboy was way worse. Our MC for one tried his best to avoid his old crush when she was trying to get his attention. Only when she gets drunk and needs to help her does he reluctantly go to her knowing it would look bad. She is then quickly out of the picture. Tomboy on the other hand continues to see and rely on a guy that has a crush on her and she knows it. She even continues to hang around him after her best friend expresses interest in him and then cries to her about him confessing his love. If that wasn't enough she even uses her being with this guy as a reason to break up... "well you weren't there." That is "well I have NEEDS" level of cheating, just not a physical one. The sad thing is, she basically uses this guy too and he is completely "friendzoned". Yet she is still held up as this prize to the conclusion. She was cute in the beginning, but why again does anyone in the story like her at the end?
Meh, should have just stuck to being a cute story rather than tying to be all deep and failing.
Yeah it was pretty bad. To be honest MC was better off without blondie. I mean he starts a demanding job and can't spend as much time with her so
Yup. I'm going to be brutally honest with what I feel about this. This manhwa is horseshit. All the time and investment reading this was completely flushed down the bloody toilet.
It wasn't even a good ending! Their relationship had misunderstandings that should have been easily resolved with properly talking it out. It felt like it was full of drama for the sake of drama. They just couldn't see each other and they already start falling apart with the continuous pile of misunderstandings and bullshit assumptions. Fuck. This.
Seriously, why did someone let a 6th grader into college? They're all idiots but former blondie has some middle school relationship level communication skills.
SERIOUSLY! There is ZERO communication between them! And it's pissing me the fuck off!
Where the hell is this guy when ya need him!
Wow good thing I put off reading all the angst filled chapters I knew were coming.
jeezus that ending is full of empty air... I don't really like it when stories use time skip as a way to say "x years later, the heroine is now a mature young lady" and then they revel in how bittersweet it all is. I'm pretty sure this is a pretty successful formula for a bunch of movies and stories but they only work when the source of conflict isn't just some teenage level misunderstandings...I haven't actually read any new chapters but your post just cemented my decision.
rly? i thought she was going out with some other guy or sth
so again, i dont understand the damn point of this if the author is gonna end it in this note lol, rather than the FMC the author has some mental issues maybe
What...
Don't know why, but I had the feeling she actually regretted her choice in those last panels. Or maybe I'm just annoyed by all of them...
Got it, updated my post with more info

Yeah I wasn't sure if I wanted to read this, and then I saw a spoiler for the ending... guess I can save myself the time and depression and not read it.
