Traumerie Scans says they dropped the project on their site so does anyone know whose making the manga now?

Mm? I thought the story was marvelous (minus the overly redundant ______ (If you played they game you know what I'm talking about). On the other hand, the game-play was horrendously repetitive -- and also extraordinarily easy to break. (999,999 damage is a thing.)

Traumerei Scans is dropping this series. Someone else is scanlating it and they're very much caught up, last I checked... Several months ago. But they're ahead of what's on this page at least. Google "bravely default translation" and you'll find their tumblr.

after the umpteenth loop I just threw my hands up in the air and said "fuck it". Mentioning there's a loop element in the game counts as a spoiler, right?

It's a bit on the Engrish side of the spectrum, but the title is actually relevant to the meaning of the story.

well it's Barras in the English localization, so I think it should stay Barras instead of the Japanese name (bearing). It will make more sense since the Japanese name for Alternis Dim is literally "Another D" (i would put spoiler tag but i don't know how)

I wonder if they had a set number of chapters/parts to draw the manga in.

Part 1 went by pretty damn fast and it's only part 1 of chapter 1 lol. I can only imagine how brief the other chapters will be... o_o

(Not that I mind too much but huh would be pretty cool -imagines legit full length manga version-)

As a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy of sorts, you could say that Bravely Default is a title that leaves out "F" & "F".

It did have a great story... not the best of all time, agree, but had some very interesting topics (and the "despair" at the end is just the icing of the cake).

Everyone isn't chibified and are reasonably proportioned? 1/100, worst damn manga of all time, OF ALL TIME! If Edea doesn't have that junk in the trunk then the streets of japan will burn.

Im interested to see what the canon classes they used are, and how they adapt the ending, looks pretty good so far
