It's very weird to me that you're calling her mother a whore and a bitch. In the story, she's just presented as a kind wife and mom, who was happy at her wedding. I don't know if you are just weirdly religious in a way that excludes Mei's father from also having had premarital sex and having had a shotgun wedding, or if you just feel like the mother was a whore because she didn't fuck the Uncle (which also doesn't make any sense), but it's really out of place given the tone of the story.
Well there isn't, but I'm not sure if it's implied she likes him, or she just wants to prove to him that she can be beautiful like her mom. The ending is the uncle using the death of his father (or grandpa?) in comparison to that of the whore (the shotgun wedding bitch). Since the girl says that in time she'll look beautiful like her mother, he thinks that instead of being beautiful until the last of her days and dying young, he'd rather see her grow to be really old and wrinkly (like her grandfather) and die with a smile like his.

I wasn't sure what the ending means, but it was a nice story. Is there an implied relationship between uncle and niece? That would be a little creepy.
Nice. Sad. In a weird way I really think this should have a romance tag.
Well, and tragedy.
I like how snarky the kid turned out to be as well. Clever quips without the malice; I approve.
I was worried it was going to get creepy, but it did not. Really feel for that guy.
