It's neither. Frankly all that's happening is that guy is causing her to manipulate the mc. We don't even know if she's in a relationship with the guy. He seems to just have a weird hold on her that she clearly doesn't like. It will probably end with the mc saving her from the other guy.

Not yet.. but give the guy a chance it's only chapter 8 after all.. plus he's already showing the "appropriate" maneuvers to pull it off.  Plus he's also beginning to show talent at taking slightly lewd pics. Knowing how to get the most out of your models is a *very* valuable ability to have.
